I'm not a fan of computer generated narration, but most of the facts were right and the pictures were very good. To me it was worth the gaffes.

Robot Alert (as if you couldn’t tell) - in 1905, the child who would become Edward VIII was 10 or 11 years old. You meant Edward VII. Doesn’t anybody check these scripts before feeding them to the robot?

Why does the narrator keep referring to Edward VIII (8th) when it should be Edward VII (7th)? Edward VIII had no children, and was only “Edward VIII” for less than a year, before he abdicated and became Duke of Windsor, all decades later.

Its an AI narrator. The original author made the same mistake others make mixing up Edward VII and Edward VIII. They also mix up George V with George VI frequently.

Interesting, but the gaffes, especially in pronunciation, spoilt it somewhat.

The photo at 0:46 is Princess Louise with her own daughters, incorrect if the narration is about Louise and her two sisters.

This instructional piece has one of the major characters mislabeled. You’re talking about Edward the 7th, not the 8th. Edward the 8th abdicaded the throne in the late 1930’s.

I never liked wallace, do you know why she never had children? Because she kept her body weight too low for proper on both to come in, she was a very stupid woman, starving herself also made her mentally unstable, she was a repulsive woman , Edward regretted his choice fairly soon after he married her, I think he thought he would get a lot more money than they were allocated after he stepped down, and obviously that stopped during the war too , he then took up with Hitler basically to get back the lifestyle he was used too, you may think his style was fine but he was used to unlimited funding, in France he did not have such luxury

Why are these stupid AI voices used to narrate?The words are spoken phonetically,meaning they sound ridiculous.I'm sure there are many thousands of capable human narrators capable of doing this work.

i won a reading prize at college; i would do the narration for a modest fee, i am also british and interested in our history. i could do it with meaning.
