I just adore how Klaire manages to capture the air of beauty and elegance, while managing to look creepy and like something that came out of an ancient story. I love FX makeup, and all the gore and such. But Klaire just draws you in with all these looks she creates. I feel like she needs more recognition. :)

OMG when you put on that eyeshadow in the beginning, that yellowish brown, you immediately looked like an older lady (especially with the eyebrows like that, the occ cream made them look kinda grey-ish ;) ) Love it!

I love the thought you put into your looks, it makes you one of my favourite makeup artists on KZfaq! Piers Anthony did a series of books called Incarnations of Immortality. One of those books, With a Tangled Skein, deals with the three Fates. Some of his better work, in my opinion. I keep thinking of them as I watch these videos. Wonderful work, Klaire!

When I was in high school, we did a short play in drama and my character was Lachesis, so it brought back some fond memories (despite her, not so nice role in people's lives). I wish this tutorial had been around back then, we probably would have used it, haha!

I think it depends on if you are going after your own interpretation of something or if you're recreating a specific character. With a look like this, it wouldn't be unreasonable for someone to ask what the look was representing because some people might not have interpreted it in the same way.

The fates or Moirai are three sisters believed to be the incarnations of destiny and life. Clotho is the one who spins the thread of life, Lachesis is the one who draws lots and determines how long someone lives and Atropos is the one who determines how someone dies by cutting the thread of life with her shears. They are often depicted as ugly, old women. It was believed they could control the fates of both mortals and gods except for Zeus while others believe they also chose Zeus' fate as well. And it is uncertain who their parents are. Many myths say Zeus and the Titan goddess Themis were their parents.

emmahzification also they were in Hercules (The Disney movie ) they were the three ugly woman that works with Hades who tried to cut the thread with Hercules died but couldn't because the thread turned gold. They are common characters in Greek mythology as S.M explained

I love the look but I am going to be a meanie here and say that the letters aren't Greek. There are some letters but most are just shapes you have done. Still a beautiful look!
