I love the way Mehta walks at his entrance. What swing, what style!

When I see these videos, I suddenly forget that Pavarotti is no longer with us. It makes me very sad.

There will never be a 3 tenor concert again except on a video. Thank You!

I can't believe how nervous they look just before they go on, and not at all once they are on stage. Incredible.

Beautiful. At the end Domingo hugs Jose and says, "we will never forget this, right?"

Jose Carreras nervous humble modest happy to let the bigger personalities take centre stage. He said Leukaemia made him realise how blessed he was, how wonderful his life was and how unimportant the rivalries with colleagues was. It shines through on all this back stage clips.

Jose est plus ce que humble avec un sourire angélique et une merveilleuse voix je lui souhaite une longue vie de bonne santé et de réussite avec tout l’amour perceptible que lui donne Luciano

Indeed. When this concert aired, I didn't know the impetus was to welcome Jose Carreras back to the land of the living and the world of opera. That makes it poignant in addition to being an artistic adventure the likes of which we'd never seen. These men and their voices remind me to embrace life. I cannot think of a better gift.

Hey Ronald, may I say bravo to your comment. I miss the big guy, and I had a good cry watching this. Yes, he savored life so completely. I've been to Italia and had the thrill of standing on that very stage informally singing to my friends and the ground crew. RIP Luciano!

What wonderful insight into back-stage. Thank you so much ursey39. I think Carreras was the most nervous. Less than two years after his return to the stage and he didn't want to let his 'brothers' down. Oh how I wish I'd seem these three live together.

they all great talents... but I have to say this... not trying to be disrespectful to the other ones but Pavarotti's charisma is soooo big, you feel good just to look the joy he has for life on his face.

How handsome Jose Carreras looks, and how charming they all are together! This format, three star tenors sharing the stage, was groundbreaking. Music had to be arranged specifically for that kind of performance. Thank you, gentlemen.

Que dire, si ce n'est une totale admiration. Je regardais alors avec ma mère aussi férue d'opéra italien et aussi fan des trois merveilleux ténors que moi. Elle est partie en 2002 mais de les réécouter me les rend présente à un point !!! 💕💕🙏🙏

pavarotti in love with the mirror, what an ego he was.
@lisbetsoda48745 ай бұрын
@MrHawtheatre that struck me too. He was so full of himself. I suppose it is easy when everyone has told him for decades that he is the best. I don't think I would much have liked his personality at all but, of course, it is indisputable that he was the greatest singer of his time, and then some.
