In 2001, Mike Wallace reported on "The Tiananmen Papers," transcripts detailing the Chinese government's response to the 1989 student protests in Tiananmen Square. The documents revealed the bitter debate among China's top leaders about whether to use force against the students.
"60 Minutes" is the most successful television broadcast in history. Offering hard-hitting investigative reports, interviews, feature segments and profiles of people in the news, the broadcast began in 1968 and is still a hit, over 50 seasons later, regularly making Nielsen's Top 10.

The tank tries to get around him several times he claims on top of it, gets down and finally some civilian comes and pulls him away. Before western agents tried to hijack the protests for a shot at a color revolution, Communist students were demanding a return to Maoist principles in these protests, literally demanding more orthodox communism. This man was trying to stop the tanks from leaving the square and returning to barracks.

35 years before, these students risked their lives to require democracy for their people, when CCP had bad record like cultural revolution. Comparing US campus now to 1989 Tiananmen?
@DC-fw8zn

They risked their lives, but who was killed? The US police captured these students who were demanding justice, so is there no difference between the US and Chinese governments? The Chinese government admitted their fault regarding the Cultural Revolution and included it in history textbooks. Now, let's talk about the massacre of Native Americans in the US. How do their descendants feel knowing their ancestors were subjected to such brutality?

When an independent creator does a video, short ,online essay etc. on it the subject the ¢.50 army attacks saying it did not happen. Now in CCP China this "never" happened and if you bring it up, let's just say good luck to ya mate.

I was about the age of those students. When I saw the footage back then i was furious like many of the Hong Kong people. I went to June 4 memorial gathering year after year as much as I could to show my support to the poor students. Then suddenly I saw the event repeat itself, only in Hong Kong in 2019. The difference is that I saw the truth with my real eyes but heard deeply biased reports from those same media. I started to doubt what I was shown before. I soon found out that signature scene where the guy stood in front of the tank to make you think he would be crushed next turned out he was pulled aside, and the Chinese army, who were also as young as those students, many of them were beaten, tortured, burnt and thrown from overpass. If that so called democracy movement had its way back then and the government was overthrown, China would not be as prosperous and strong as it is today.

To be honest, most of us, then the street protesters in the Square, now feel really fortunate that China didn't swallow your color revolution pill (as years later on repeated in Ukraine and the Arab Spring), and thus didn't go down the drain like another Soviet Union. That was a true inflexion point in the world's modern history.

God loves you and cares for you so that this message reaches you. God is the one who created this large universe and controls it completely. The greatest loss a person loses in this life is that he lives without knowing God who created him and knowing the Messenger of Muhammad, the last of the messengers, and the Islamic religion, the last of the heavenly religions. Great intelligence, before you believe in something or not, is to read it, study it, and understand it well, and after that you have the choice to believe in it or not to believe in it. I advise you to do this now, before you no longer have time to do so. Life is very short. It is just a test, just a passage to eternal life. Great advice to those who... Understands
