And then we got new members and I brought it up again, so now it's become a meme to say "oh hey that's the classic final fantasy confusion animation" in my group if people get afflicted with it in p6s. Love em. I feel Woops pain as a black mage, no rez and even in P7 normal you have to move so much so it's easy to just get killed if you want any uptime. Will be fun to see how he handles the savage cause honestly I'm at a bit of a loss how to uptime the back half of that fight.

Your first P7/P8 experience was very similar to mine. 7 was a disaster, taking two separate groups and our clear being me, a PLD, being the only one alive for the last 12% or so and soloed it to the clear. 8 came around and we one-shot it. It felt so underwhelming after the crazy 7 run.

I just did p7n for the first time today. Knowing the mechanics is one thing. Being able to follow what the hell is happening in the middle of the fight, something completely different.

What's really funny is I had a run of the seventh circle the other day that actually went just as well as yours did and we didn't have anybody griefing

First time I did the fight for the third boss, I didn't know how huge the hitbox was and the moment I clicked on the boss, my character immediately auto-attack and all hell broke loose. Luckily we clutch-saved the fight but I spammed the Sprint button during that whole fight. During that, I was thinking 'Scribble Liz is going to have a hell of time when WOTT gets here...'

7:50 my brain just started wondering off on it's own thing here. What if FFXIV added a yugioh style minigame. You form a party of like 8 or something, 1 person draws cards and the other 7 serve as the "monsters". You can draw your team mates as well as magic and trap card equivalents. Not sure if you should go up against another party or an npc that plays actual monster cards.
