@@nep-nep6575 some are okay but most of the time they’re very bad. Maybe it’s because the build of the car doesn’t compliment the colors of the wrap and the other exterior mods. I’ve seen some vids were the Japanese have these nice, sleek, simple builds and I think that suits the wrap imo. When you have too much going on exterior wise adding an even crazier, unconventional look to it will make it so darn overwhelming.

Really love that engine, I had a XC90 with the same engine as a family shuttle we had very few issues in the first year of ownership but it got sour fast, the only redeeming quality was the sound. Pretty much anything you had to do in the engine bay was hellish and then some... We had much luck with the next one, our wonderful 4.8 X5 Nah it was also a piece of junk, of course. 😂

I mean, modifying or wanting to modify your car is usually part of it, there is always room for improvement, but there isn’t anything wrong with enjoying a stock car. Kind of feels like people forget the core part in being a car enthusiast and that is enjoying cars. As I said, I really like and enjoy older early 2000s Volvos, I know it is a niche that most people simply won’t understand. I know every P2 and P1 chassi code, I know most of the engine codes, but not all the specific variants, like the B5244T3 and B5244T5 are different “T3” is the 2.4T while “T5” is the 2.4 T5 which replaced the B5234T3 (2.3 T5). I also know most of the transmission names, with the exception of the two manuals that came with the N/A Modular 6, the manual that came with the 1.6 liter Ford Zetec (in the P1s) and Ford power shift.

@@jaskajokunen3716 Yamaha actually later made outboard marine versions of the “B8444S”, but in a “hot V” configuration (to better fit in the housing), they actually made more power than the 315ps in the B8444S, if I remember correctly there was a 600ps boat version. Also the Marine version of the “B8444S” was Yamaha branded, not “Volvo Penta” (the “side” of Volvo which makes boat engines, which isn’t actually a part of Volvo cars, but is closer related to the excavators, but have used Volvo Cars engines, like the VED5). Which begs the question, what if you fit the outboard pats to a B8444S in a Volvo..

It's because they put only cosmetic mods on their grocery getter and then go around claiming its fast and is a "racer", and that they're "racers". If somebody wants to mod their car for cosmetics only without making the car fast, and they own that and admit that it isn't quick, then sure, do whatever you want. But it's the fact that they lie about owning a "race car". That and claiming to be a "car guy" because they put cosmetic stuff, paint, rims, usually non-functional spoiler, and maybe an intake at most on your base model "race car" when they probably have never even changed the oil or spark plugs themselves, and don't even know how. And you know for sure they know absolutely nothing about installing actual high performance engine modifications like turbos/supers, intercoolers, cams, transmissions, exhaust (besides maybe a piece of junk fart can), etc. You can call it gatekeeping, but really it's calling out people's lies. For example, a guy I went to high school with was in the Air Force for a few years, and his Air Force job was basically just a security guard, and one time at a party he was drunk and was trying to convince people that he was in a highly trained "combat unit" that did similar missions to Navy SEALs. This is obviously bull$hit so I called him out on it. Same concept as this video here.

@@DasAutoz So your's isn't doing its best EV impression hehe. I also had an 02 1.8T GTI, all stock because didn't have the money at the time to properly mod it and wasn't going to rice it. It was an EV before EVs were cool haha, stock 1.8t is basically silent other than a very faint "pssh" on lift off and was all torque, short shift at 5500 because a stock 1.8t is done at 5500, still a fun car and a hoot on a twisty road.

@@DasAutoz you're only getting 240hp with that much psi? Doesn't sound like a good tune, My '11 wrx is running same psi, turbo back exhaust, upgraded intercooler, air intake i'm making jsut shy of 400hp, 390 with a tune. I'd get a re-tune unless you're just playing safe.

@@bainsvain two completely different engines. Unitronic software is very good. The numbers that I gave you are correct. Keep in mind, you are comparing a 2011 wrx to a 2002, I have a much smaller turbo and engine than you do, the car is no slouch but it’s not stupid fast either.
