I don’t think it’s easy. I think all jobs have there challenges. And Alex Crook is not upto the challenge. Just regurgitating Twitter rumors constantly and putting “my sources tell me” in front of it is not journalism. Neither is passing on hindsight as some kind of wisdom. Absolute con artist. Amazed he’s lasted this long.

Edson Alvarez is the best example. A year ago, he was on the brink of joining Chelsea. Look who's after him now. Waiting a season for a mega club... may not happen at all. People underestimate the football factory. Where was Caicedo a year ago? Next year, I can guarantee there will be a new Caicedo. Doesn't have to be from Brighton. Some club will unearth it. That's how football works.

He wanted to go to Arsenal but rightly Brighton didn’t want to lose him in the middle of the season and just after they sold there best player to Arsenal. From the outside it seems Brighton told him to stay, we increase your pay and you can go in the summer. Now in the summer they have put a massive valuation on him to price him out of a move. Moral is don’t trust a owner of a football club. If he didn’t sign the new contract he goes for 50-60M this summer instead of them quoting 100M.

thats the way i see it. Agent should of pushed for a release clause but i think brighton say that negates the 5 year bargaining power. Hopefully players see him the same way as Levy and be wary to sign

I dont think Caicedo is that attached to Chelsea, hes mostly money motivated. Brighton should just give him a a pay rise (again) on par with the best paid at the club and keep him another year for Europe. There might be better clubs in for him next year.

Have enjoyed Darragh this week, but the show ended today, when we had Jim White getting on his high horse about firstly LBGTQ+, then climate change with Dale Vince. What he fails to realise is that football is our escape from real life dramas, if we want this other stuff, we can listen to news channels. Better still send Jim White off and bring in someone, who is more interested in sport, than promoting his self !
