In today's video we will be going back to the 1960's to explore the strange path that led to the time lego sued nintendo. While we won't be covering the history of nintendo in it's entirety, we will be looking at a very strange part of it.

sadly, this story has been regurgitated a few times before this video, maybe not in all the same detail like the Elgo/Kiddicraft details in association with N&B Blocks.

Aw what happened to the cool "text to speech" voice? I really like it. The voice gave the videos a cool tone to it. Love this video by the way. ❤️😎

It required a substantial amount of work to make it sound remotely realistic. It was clear that going forward this is a better approach in the long run.

@@thequestgamer Yep I definitely agree. That other voice I thought was real but the pronunciation and tone felt weird and almost grueling to listen to. Hearing a human voice never hurts, we don't want AI taking over everything quite yet.

To think that one of the legendary Gunpei Yokoi's first products, a name we associate with some of Nintendo's finest works, was pretty much just a Lego rip-off / refinement... wonder if Nintendo trying to push for more brick-variety made Lego step up their game, or if they already planned to expand but took their time to ensure each new brick had the Lego-brand quality, and Nintendo just made it to market faster because they ignored the products form-issues...

I found it very interesting as I researched the topic. The Game and Watch Gunpei Video should theoretically come out in Feb, depending on how much more trouble the script gives me.
