Marshall faced Ball State in the 1997 season. Wide Receiver Randy Moss torched the Cardinal's defense with 13 receptions for 205 yards and five touchdowns. Marshall would go on to win the game 42-16.

Technically he played against Moss, but as a kicker, he did NOT play against Randy Moss. Any DB can tell you they played against, was burned by, Moss.

You should find Randy Mosses high school tape. It's almost boring lol. He's like taking a nice light jog through a football field while 11 kids are tripping over themselves diving trying to come within 5 yards of him

I coached a kid that played 1 season with him at FSU. Both WRs..so he got to know him a little bit. He always said to me Moss was a good dude, and incredible on basketball court too. He has some amazing practice stories when Moss burned every DB at FSU one-day at practice. Seniors..starters, well known, future NFL stars too. Moss was only 18yrs old.

I know right? Jesus Christ guys, stop putting him out on an island with probably one of the most athletically gifted receivers of all time. Guy wasn’t even doing to bad staying near him, just was getting outsized when the ball came in. Poor dude.

How about UNC-Florida State from 2001. Carolina was 0-3 including losses to Oklahoma and Texas. It was their first home game after 9/11 and they beat a ranked FSU team 41-9. The whole game used to be on KZfaq but I'm not sure if it still is

I was a redshirt freshman for Ball State for this game. Ball #5 for Ball State had blazing speed. Like sub 4.4. Moss didn't look fast until he got near someone who you knew was fast. Blew by them! So graceful and athletic.

That's what 4.1 speed does , how you going to pay your fine Randy cash homie....... This guy was something else never knew what Randy was going to do.... One of the greatest receivers that knew how to use his body and every angle to his advantage.

I have to bet the guys in the production truck were hoping if Marshall was going to throw a fade, it would never be on the bottom right corner of the field because their game cam kept getting cut off by the press box every time something would happen over there.

He actually hurt his shoulder and was never the same. His deep ball lost a lot of touch.

If Moss had have gone to a power 5 school like he was supposed to. Notre Dame FSU or wherever , He would have won the Heisman going away. Also he would have been playing for the National Championship.

He signed to Notre dame originally but screwed up. Then transfered to FSU ( actually spent a full red shirt year practicing with fsu ) and screwed up again. When the #1 H.S. player in the country ends up at Marshall you can beat he's made some mistakes and is on his last chance.

Can we get the 2012 sec championship game? When Georgia could have clocked the ball and got 2 shots at the end zone but instead threw a 3 yard out route in bounds with no timeouts and let the clock run out.
