I remember playing house with my older sister, (she was mom, I was kid), and she was picking me up from “school” when I quoted a line I heard on Saved By The Bell, “Be quiet you weird little man,” and expected her to be all proud of me, which she was *not* . It didn’t help that my defense was “but that guy’s a geek, a loser!” She then had a talk with me about not quoting what I hear on television and how those words were actually hurtful. Really glad we played school before I actually went to it. This show taught some fucked up stuff.
