Come face-to-face with a meteorite that came from the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter in this week’s episode of Object of Intrigue. Did you know: This particular meteorite crashed in the town of Benld, Illinois, where in 1938, it smashed through one man’s garage and proceeded to punch its way through his car roof and seat before bouncing back into the seat.

You know you're a science geek when you recognize Jim as the meteorite dude from the Field Museum - but you've never even been to Chicago. 🤭🤓😂

Honestly, we tried to change our channel description to meteor-wrongs, and we were told to change it back. Very disappointed.

I drive past Benld all the time on I-55. Never dreamed anything remarkable ever happened there, but I should have known. Remarkable things happen everywhere if you just take time to notice, listen, and learn.

Very cool. These videos ALMOST make me want to take the 15 minute bus ride to this museum, but seeing something in a glass case is far less interesting than hearing someone talk about it.

I find it funny that a car muffler stopped a meteorite and bounced it back into a car seat.

Meteorites are the dust and dirt God sweeps off his front porch. Btw, finding this channel was the greatest. I'm so tired of seeing all kinds of foolishness on youtube ALL THE TIME. We need more channels like this. This teaches kids things that will enrich them instead of enrage them. God bless you.
