Just a tip for those that use sealers, don't pull the remaining piece of plastic off till you start eating it again. Pulling it off can sometimes ruin the air tight seal, so it better to just leave the scraps on till you're hungry again.

I remembered using this when I was a kid in Hong Kong, which is about 20yrs ago, I guess they've changed the packaging and appearance to make it looks like a great innovation =/ It was using 2 AA battery and a hot wire (it does look like a stapler version back then), I'm pretty sure it is just the kanthal wire which we can find out there for vaping e-cig for most of the use. As it heats up to re-seal the plastic residue you have in the bag to seal it shut

I had one of these things almost 25 years ago I found in Dollar Tree, the only major difference was it took 2 AA batteries, and all it did was make my kitchen smell like burnt plastic.

This is seriously redundant.The point of the sealing isn't so that your bag of chips magically don't go stale, it's to lock the nitrogen(which is a very non-reactive gas) from seeping out. This nitrogen is what keeps your chips "fresh".The moment you open your chips, there's NO GOING BACK. The nitrogen doesn't magically come back, even when you seal it back, because the Oxygen which would've entered would now rancidify your food, no matter what. At the most, it might delay the rancidification of ALL the chips in one go, but it's not going to stop it.

you are correct about the loss of the artificial atmosphere, however, you aren't correct about the chips being done for as soon as the bag is opened. if the chips are left open they are exposed to the normal environment which causes them to go stale as they oxidize and the moisture evaporates however, if they are in a sealed bag of normal atmosphere the air is not circulating and the moisture has no where to go like when they are fully open. thus they will not go stale as quickly as the open packet. (but wont last as long as the original packaging)

The idea is pretty cool. But like most gadgets, it's a complicated high-tech solution to a simple problem. A cheap and simple Sealing Clamp (see Amazon) can do the same thing. You don't need to charge the clamp or take 20 seconds to apply it.

I see your point. It depends on your needs. I found 8 pieces of clamps on Amazon for $6.25. I don't usually have more than 8 bags to seal, so I prefer the clamps personally. However, the heat sealer is better in terms of seal appearance, tightness of seal, space occupied, ability to seal unlimited bags, ability to seal huge bags, and of course novelty.

they work better if you don't tear off hr excess seal as it leaves a greater surface area for the bond allowing it to last longer.

the chip will be altered anyway because the only the keep the crisp is the nitrogen.(Nitrogen is used to keep chips crisp,when you open the bag for the first time the nitrogen replaced by air and then the chips will altered for sure).

This would be perfect for my school playground. Some people like to buy chips off other people for like $2, if I had this I would just eat 3/4 of the bag and sell it off for $2.

It's a nice idea, but will never catch on because of how long it takes to use. A chip clip or a rubber band take 0.5 seconds to use and costs more than ten times less. If you want 6 or 7 chips quick each time, you really going to bust this out and cut the bag 15 times.

Better life hacks: 1) Use a flat iron that is used for hair, it works I tried 2) A more efficient way to keep them fresh is eat it all in one sitting ;) 3) Srsly, eat it all in one sitting. Bring some friends over or something, just devour that thing.

Maybe Jack was Lew's enemy, and Jack went soft and made up with Lew, but Lew couldn't forget and forgive Jack's wrongs, but offered him a job to film his videos out of the kindness of his heart. Lew never let go and still resents Jack, but that makes sense becuase Lew always has so much anger towards him becuase he always throws shit at him and makes him eat silica gel. And that's why we can never see Jack becuase if we did, we'd resent him too.

Now why would you need that when you can have reusable chip clips like the wooden thing with springs you can by like 20 for 2 to 3 dollars and use them for anything and with that thing you have to cut the bag so what is you want a few pieces of chips the will end up being to much chips for a very small bag and you have to charge it so what is you finish eating and you just about to close it and boom the battery dies and if you have nothing else the chips will go bad and not taste good

This could be really dangerous. For example, people could open a bag of candy, put something in it, use this product, and hand out the altered bags of candy on Halloween to little kids or something. Just a thought😂

Inside the chips plastic bag, there's no air, is nitrogen. That gas is what helps to mantain them fresh. Only if you refill it with nitrogen will work. If not, resealing is useless.

Sounds better than it looks. It takes way too long to seal and it cuts the bag too? I just wanna pour my chips in a bowl and put it back, not perform surgery on the bag when I'm just gonna end up opening it up again if I want more.
