We just got back from a trip using a vacation package. It might not be for everyone but for our once-in-lifetime Disneyland trip it was definitely worth it and saved us lots of hassle. We managed to ride everything we wanted to at both parks and had an amazing time!

I'm so torn! We aren't super into disney (our 4 year old is 😂) and we are really excited but we have that 4 year old and a 1 year old.... it's so expensive for a package but the skipping of the lines is very, very tempting. I practice booked one and had trouble filling the selected attractions so I don't think it's worth it. But. I keep going back and forth 😂

@@arr255 you are best to just buy the DPA (fast pass) on a individual ride basis based on which one your kid/you really want to go on. if you do the vacation package, select the rides that do not have reserved time so its easier to go when ever during the day depend on child's mood/where you are in the park . last thing you want to do is commit to a ride at specific time and you are rushing to it from opposite end of the park with child in towe

We’ve done the vacation package twice. Pro tip: to maximise the value, the vacation package allows you to book the fancier restaurants as well. I’ve done both normal access and vacay package, the biggest pro is time management for those who have young kids!

I feel the difference with you taking it easy, is that for most people, this might be the only time they will be at Tokyo Disney resorts so they don't have time to be leisurely. They have to pack in as much of the park and experiences, they can in the two days.

Just booked a package because of the premium Fantasy Springs access. For two nights, it ended up being about 40 000 yen higher than booking the items separately, but being guaranteed to ride all the new attractions with low waits and have everything taken care of up front was worth it. My Chase Sapphire Reserve card worked on the first try online.

me too but also the unlimited drink was another seller for me. not having to carry dead weight of water bottles and the ability to try new drinks without worrying paying for soemthing you don't like

I was in the same category of room in Mira Costa. Major bonus is that you can even see the nightly closing show from your own room (though there is something about being on the ground that makes it more exciting). Overall I loved that hotel.

@@serg627yes I booked through the official site. My credit card first denied the charge so I had to contact them to tell them it was an approved charge.

@@emilydanger03 the site opens the next available date of fantasy spring hotel booking at 11am japan time (for booking of the newly released date ). the website refreshes at 5am japan time (cancellations will mostly be updated ). call your credit card company and let them know you will be making a large foreign transaction to avoid transaction been flagged.

Perfect Timing of Video! I had booked a vacation package in the morning and this popped up shortly thereafter. I was having nightmares of credit card not working / connection issues the morning of visit, so booking the package (specifically for the included Fantasy Springs entrance ticket) took a load of my shoulders. 9:09 here you can see the price for those wo are interested. Still "cheap" compared to WDW in my opinion. At WDW they'll charge you the same amount of money just for the hotel room.

We got the vacation package too and had the same room! It was an amazing experience. The unlimited drinks voucher was awesome too. We loved Rapunzel's Magical Milk Tea at the Snuggly Duckling. Went back every chance we got to get a cup.

When I first watched this video, I never fathomed I'd EVER book a vacation package. And yet there I was a few days ago doing just that. And then upgrading it yesterday to a terrace room harbor view. So this video suddenly became extra helpful! I'm wondering though. All the packages I saw made us go to Disneyland first and then DisneySea the second day. Interesting that yours does it the opposite. I'm guessing Fantasy Springs has something to do with it.

Thank you so much for this video! One quick clarifying question: If I wanted an extra night on either side of my package, is the easiest solution to buy those two nights individually in the same room type? Will the resort automatically put me in the same room for all four nights?

Hi Chris! Just a quick Q, for the vacation package, if we are 4 people staying in 1 room, will all 4 get the privileges (priority pass, breakfast, etc.)? Thanks in advance and really enjoyed all your content and was really helpful in all my Japan trips. Lastly, love the apple tea as well

Oh fun, the title I voted for won!😊 Is your team going to visit/cover Fantasy Springs after it opens? I'm going in later June and obsessed with videos/research, would love seeing how a day at the new area works (mainly confused on how the different app passes/etc will work with everyone clambering for FS stuff) before I visit 💖

@tdrexplorer Yay! Glad to hear that, hope everything goes smoothly (I'm constantly hearing horror stories of Tokyo Disney lines on normal mornings, I can't imagine how crazy it's going to be with a new area opening 😅😱)
