Hey! One of the devs for the fantastical cook here! I am sooo honored to have chris biscardi looking at my game! You are my favorite rust channel and the only reason I know how to code in wgsl xD I think that our game took a little more lateral thinking than a jam game should, and there was alot of dialog. I wish we had more time to clean up the game to make it more clear (the fire in the furnace, the boss fight ui wasn't clear) but overall I think we succeeded in making a cozy cooking game where you cook for some cooky characters. Thanks for the look chris!

yeah! I think the concept is definitely interesting. I always enjoyed finding a new recipe in say, Minecraft, which is what the recipe mechanic reminded me of the most. Also so happy you're finding my videos useful/entertaining! ❤

This was a nice overview. I’m just getting into Rust and have been learning about Bevy. It was cool to see some of what it can do. Thanks for making this.

Starting with a game log is a great way to go. These are basically strings and events; two kinds of objects a good developer can use in creative ways to build something else. Please reward this more.

17:42 idea Maybe you don't want to combine them? Just yellow green yellow green pattern. Combined I think volume is preserved, making total hight smaller

I'm assuming the rule about no discrimination is about real world discrimination and not about the setting of the game. There are lots of games that have that stuff in and we love them. Skyrim comes to mind. The fact that the Nords hate the Dark Elves for example. But almost every race in the Elder Scrolls hates at least one other race.

Instead of spending 3 minutes going over assumed unwritten rules based on limitations that are exclusionary obtusely, you could just write those rules down in the first place. Are you running a game jam, or are you running a test of cross platform compilation for bevy. Choose one and make it clear up front.
