I think I really gravitated to your quote about "every storm runs out of rain." Honestly your story about how when you were in high school your father passed away really was very intense. No one who sees you at first glance would know you had such a dark chapter of your life. People see you traveling and having fun and being active and enjoying life and making funny comedic youtubes, but they don't see past the cover of the book. When you were talking about how he fought the cancer for a long time and how hard it was financially when your dad couldn't work, and how your family lost your house was really absorbing. I think such a difficult, stressful, unpleasant period of your life must have made such an impression on you and left a permanent mark on your psyche. I wonder too how your mother was changed by these experiences, and she may still be processing them at some level without true final closure. I often feel these are very intense experiences that will always remain with you. We may never fully heal or gain closure from these experiences but that is okay. Do you ever feel that these experiences made you stronger or made you more pragmatically cynical and realistic? Do you feel you have fully healed from these experiences where you felt unsafe, like the rug was pulled out from under you and any sense of normalness and security was gone? Do you feel that it made you a stronger person? I always wonder too how people make it through the difficult times in their lives, like people who survived the great depression and World War II and how miraculously their storms eventually ran out of rain. But that really is such a deep quote. I am terrified of storms and I often do not have the strength to endure them until the rain is past, and wonder how others can navigate and outlast the storms in their own lives. But that is such a deep, complex quote to ponder and mull over. ..

Hi Evan, really enjoyed your quotes!!! Quote #3 is not anonymous, it’s from the Bible. 1 Corinthians 15:33 “do not be misled. Bad associations spoil useful habits”. I think most countries have a version of this, just the solder rule which also comes from the Bible 😊👍🏻

"If you know where you are going, you can make it magic" - Diana Ross, I believe. So good and crazy special you can make your (and other people's) life if you chose to do so. It is quite simple and so magical. :) I wrote down my own qoute book once... while travelling around in the US. Visiting a bunch of small libraries and book stores in search of good qoutes. Cheers.

My favorit quote is from a US philosopher and sometimes divisive figure: Cornel West. He believe in God, but the quote (to me) is just as relevant for a person of any or no faith. ' Wherever you go, you should leave a little bit of heaven behind '. To me, this is about how we see ourselves, and unless we are slightly sociopathic, we do see ourselves as basically decent people. If we do, we should leave some of that 'goodness' behind in any situation we encounter. ...so if you happen to be a person of Faith, you should leave some of that positive energy behind. If not, do you believe in goddess, in positivity, in community? ...then you should leave some of that behind...

I like a similar one from Marcus Aurelius: "Live a good life. Its not quite the same. "Do not be so afraid of dying, that you forget to live" To me it mens: do not trowe your life away being afraid of everything. Besauce then you have not lived your life at al.

Iam my own person, if you live your life by quotes and other people you are missing out on life. If you are looking for answer in books you should try the bible. 99.9 percent of all my problem are due to other people interfering. Live your best life end the end that all you can do.
