The Betweenlands is such an unspoken mod. But honestly, it's one of the most ambitious alternate dimension mods I've seen in a while. Rivaling the Aether and the Twilight Forest, they did an exemplary job reviving it, and is one of the most creepy and yet beautiful worlds to explore.

I realy like how you give a real short overview over the mods, so it keeps beeing interesting, witch all the necessary links below.

Awesome mods I want to see in part 2: DivineRPG Chocolate Quest (better dungeons) Advent of Ascension (nevermine) Buildcraft Galacticraft Biome Bundle Biomes O’Plenty Not Enough Items / Just Enough Items Ruins Lucky Blocks Flan Mod Ice and Fire Archimede’s Ships (1.12 version: Davincis Vessels) Hardcore End Custom NPCs Aether (I’m sure this will be his #1 pick tbh) Bukkit (a plugin thing for servers, but still a mod, in the sence that forge is a mod) I know a lot of these are very outdated, but I still think they deserve to be mentioned :) Edit: adding some more mods to the list as they come to mind.

Looks like that cave mod might become a bit obsolete since we’re officially getting a cave update and all

Fossils and archeology has been around since 1.3 and deserves to be recognized, it's still being updated today, and adds a bunch of fun dinosaurs and ice age creatures.

I love Mo Bends, especially for the attack animations, along with Smart Movement. Twilight Forest is also amazing, but doesn't really work with the other two mods. The villager one is actually pretty cool, I'll have to look into it.

One of my favorite mods that I think need to be included is Bionisation 3 which adds diseases to the game and makes it more challenging because there are more than just a health loss as a disadvantage to close combat Another one that I use with this to make a zombie apocalypse style world is zombie awareness which makes zombies attracted to your light sources and makes them gather into zombie packs more making actual hordes more common.

Immersive engineering is a must. Just so fun

I think you should’ve included MachineMuse’s Modular PowerSuits mod, which is an awesome mod that adds, well, powersuits. The armour is customisable, you can upgrade it, it is compatible with other mods as well. And the power tool is a universal multitool which also can bring down lightning on your enemies. It has been around for quite some time, and I would love to see you feature it!
