The trip around Moscow metro - The most beautiful metro in the world. Subway stations were used as air-raid shelters during the WWII. It was also meant to serve as the shelter in case of nuclear war. Many stations are decorated with beautiful painting, mosaics, and sculptures.

@@fernly2 But NY metro has a flag on each carriage and seemingly near each door. As if people did not know where they are. Inside Supermarkets there is also no advertising plastered on columns or so. I wonder if that partly explains the lower prices in Russia. In Australia we book with the leading US companies - and send our money offshore which is still tax deductible. Crazy!

Greetings from Canada. 🇨🇦 As a child, I remember the first time my parents bought me a globe. I was always fascinated by the size of Russia. Canada is the second largest country on earth but Russia 🇷🇺 makes us look small by comparison. It truly is a beautiful country. Tucker reminded me of that with his recent videos. Now I can’t stop watching Russia videos. 😂

The cleanliness and respect for the stations is incredible. I’m NYC, the stations are littered with trash, human waste and graffiti. It’s that saying, “we can’t have anything nice”. Interesting how 2 places treat necessary infrastructures so differently.

Surely the Soviet Union had a thousand defects, but it certainly had a lot of style, we can safely say that it is one of the most beautiful subways in the world, if not directly the most beautiful.

Marble and Ceramics used must have cost a fortune. Noticed not many people stopping and just looking at the beautiful surroundings. In a train station stunning artwork. The Masonry work archways light fixtures amazing those glass windows you don't see in Britain.

The moscow metro looks really great for example, the only metro i've ever seen was the Prague metro (Czech republic's capital city) and it was a lot dirtier, with trash and graffitis everywhere

You're right. Some stations can be called a work of art. Most of all I like Mayakovskaya station. The specific sound of standing subway trains creates an unusual atmosphere.

Yep. Advertisements posters were removed in Moscow's metro in 2017

Look at how clean they are, too....and all the same type of people with an occasional Asian. I wonder why BART is so different? I guess they are willing to police their subways while we aren't. Of course, if our subway stations looked like cathedrals, maybe people would treat them better....naaah...

I would say that this is a kind of "architectural propaganda." Beautiful metro stations were designed to show the greatness of the Soviet empire. Western metro stations are less pompous and more unitary.
