Definitely accurate about playing on PS and not being able to do Varre’s quest line unless you pay for online. Luckily there was a free online weekend during the summer sale at the exact moment I was doing his quest!

This might be a bit of a backwards way of doing the area. The blood swamp has 3 invaders that won't spawn if mohg is dead. You've missed out on the war surgeon armor set

There is so much free space on the map that they would be a fool to not create an expansion pack.

Isn't it a little interesting that the skeleton wielding red albie boys get that skeleton spell after they go through the blood magic transformation...that spell that's only wielded by 2 tibia mariners in the game...maybe the red light of the halphen is the blood magic of the formless mother..... food for thought for sure!

I'm surprised the giant crows didn't make it into the Worst Enemies video also. I certainly rate them above several entries that did.

Get your sneak on with those summoning Albenorics and you'll be able to take them out 1 by 1 without them calling in the bones.

you can long range agro one of those crows to throw itself off the ledge from that grace at the top of the albunaric farming spot to get loads of runes for easy kills.

After 1.06, there is an NPC you can invade in Altis Plateau to complete Varres' quest line.

There is now a way to access this area via White Mask Varre's questline without having online functionality, as of patch 1.06 There is now an invasion sign in a certain location of the game that counts towards this. I haven't tried that method personally, but, it was in the patch notes. He has "beast claw" in his name and uses the great stars weapon.

There's a Golden Rune (13) behind the altar where the Sanguine Noble and Albinaurics, near the cliffside.

FYI to any playstation players going through this area currently, you no longer require ps plus to progress Varre's questline as there is now another method of progressing aside from invading players. There is now a red summon sign in the writheblood ruins that you can use to summon and kill an npc which will allow you to get the lord of blood's favor. Also the boss is a joke when using the mimic tear ashes and the physick tear the prevents the damage taken during his nihil attack. Absolutely melted him around level 120 with my mage build.

You missed a golden seed behind the altar where the ancient dragon somber simithing stone is. A bit of jumping requiered

Tip for getting the resources in and around the giant crows; the beast-repelling torch is your friend here!

Staunching refers to stopping or restricting bloodflow from a wound. It's pronounced 'stawn-ching'

you can do the whole white mask quest line offline. You just have to go to the Bridge of iniquity site of grace in Mt. Gelmir and go across the bridge and into that village with all of the hounds that cause all of the bleed effect. The Writheblood ruins. There is one of those red invasion markers inside one of the building ruins and if you go in and lose 3 times it will let you progress past the use bloody fingers part of the white mask quest.

Varres quest can be done offline now after beating godrrick he will be in liurnia in the rose church and you can do three invasion offline in altus plateu

I still got to here with Varres quest offline via PS, just continue the game as normal, beat 3 of the ingame invaders/Bloodspots. then returned to Varre and his quest continued

You can get here if you dont have a ps plus subscription you can co to altus near the draconic tree sentinel there is runes and on the ground you can invade a npc that is what I did yesterday

I know this video is a year old, but for anyone searching you can fight the npc at writheblood ruins to progress Varre's quest and not have to do the online part of it.

if you go up to the spot where you farm the crow from the top of the ledge. you can go up the broken support thing. keep jumping and climbing up you will get to a cave. but I couldn't find anything in the cave is it just there for show?

completely missed this area in PT1 because i thought varric was the only way to get there as i dont play online, excited to go there on my new PT, really REALLY wish this wasn't gate kept by online shenanigans

They did make 3 invasions that u can do that is considered online invasions to do his questline

I usually just return to the midpoint cause sometimes the nobles drop bloodroses and I don't mind paying 80k to the merchant cause he deserves it.

I did not have a ps+ account and did varres assignment. My wife does, so maybe it’s per machine, but I did not and continue to play coop online.

The main reason why you can't do Varre's questline is because you can't go online invading others using PS without the PS Plus subscription.

Dude just skipped over the 458 albanaurics (sp?) you face at the beginning of the area. It's a small miracle of modern technology the frame rate doesn't drop to single digits with all those enemies.
