@@Wazminator what do you think kano mu chart looks like? Does he any flat out losing MU outside of characters that can duck the spit? Feel like he’s a good 2ndary or 3rd char but hard to main Personally, I do horrible against kano so I run jacqui or Johnny vs him. It makes the matchup so much easier it’s a little silly. And it makes me wonder just what NRS was thinking when they made some characters able to completely nullify his best string That is not how you balance stuff in games.

This is why so many people hate to play against kano :D But that doesn't mean he shouldn't be in mk game. He should always be. He's one of the og characters. Btw kano in mk 11 has the most bad ass look. I really like his acting and voice :D

I'd say Kano and Raiden are slept on. We see Kano put in work a lot, and Waz does an amazing job of demonstrating that here. Meanwhile, Raiden is mostly a boring yet highly practical kombatant with strong zoning tools and footsies; the flash usually comes from variation options that enable a wide number of approaches to fit multiple play styles.

@@TaeZilla I have, a few times. If we're talking the pro scene, though, that's actually a tough question to answer. Most pro players use Raiden's Thunder Wave tournament variation to rack up combo damage and teleport around to apply pressure rather than to keep away. Alternatively, we used to see Raijin variation Raiden prior to customs being enabled for tournament play because it had the fastest reversal in the game and traded out some tools for more synergy off of Quick Charge. Raiden's basic projectile is very quick to travel across the screen, and covers a respectable horizontal area; the second shot when amplified flies low, making for a good check to low-profiling responses. Lightning Strike serves as a vertical screen/curtain, with a variable directed range. Summon Lightning is an unblockable anti-air beam. Apologies, this reply turned into a bit of a novel. I could continue by assessing the other zoning tools Raiden has, but your point stands that not many use him for that in pro scenes. He's still a highly variable character that can perform well at many roles & ranges.

In my case I participated in a little contest and I won >:D, I'm a 3d artist and I hope to do some mk characters in the future, one of the former student where I'm learning created Shang Tsung for MK11, hopefully one day I will reach his level >:D
