It's refreshing to see a young fella such as yourself not only enjoying but taken notice of the many facets of MJ'S game. You got a taste of what we witnessed every nite watching MJ play. He was just build differently than anybody before or since. Other than Kobe the closes was the Dr. who MJ emulated & took it to the next level. The physicality of the defense that Jordan had to overcome every nite to be the dominant player of his era. His skill set & superior mentality is what set him apart from everyone else in the history of the game. Also if you are looking for more defensive highlights of MJ then check out Michael Jordan Predator or Best Defender video.

On the topic of the guy Jordan was toying with... its not that the guy was bad. He was too small. Jordan was too quick for the other players his size so teams would put smaller quick guys on him but he'd do that to them bc his wingspan was so insane. And it's not that the players these days are more talented...its just they're talented in different ways. Rodman for example was very talented but he was just talented in a different skillset than what's required today.

Every highlight has 8 people in the paint. Picture Mj in todays league where its 1 move at the 3pt line and its a wide open to the basket. I'm glad he played back then even though I didn't get to watch. I don't think we would of seen all these incredible adjustments he had to make at the rim and in the paint. As a lebron fan I just don't see him make maneuvering through the paint. He puts his head down and goes in a straight line which works great in this era. Hes got no actual consistent post up moves, can't shoot. If you take the drives to the rim and put backs away what's he really got? You gotta get into some single game highlights where you realize that he did this type of stuff every other play. Check out the 1991 finals game where his did that switch hand layup which was his 13th consecutive field goal kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fbyGaale2rWyfKc.html

Jordan is the ultimate freestyler. Double clutch, triple clutch, weaving in the air, on defense, he had to challenge himself. He had no equal. Nowadays, everyone is the same. Just the guys that can have everything catered to them will still stand out, occasionally. Rules had to be changed so they could score more. Flopping was supposed to be penalized 6 years ago, it’s still the kings pet move. Nobody is more skilled today, they just get to be responsible for less. Shooter only. No touching the ball handler. Big men outside. You want triple doubles while you make the team lose, done.

That plumber you referred to in the beginning, name is mark price. I suggest you look him up. Many guards then would kill this Era. They had all the skills. They could shoot, pass, dribble, and as I've said many times before, they played like their lives depended on it, unlike this soft, weak cupcake era. All facts last thing what youngsters don't understand is that jordan made anyone and everyone look like plumbers and would do the same now. GOAT

Its not that theres more talent now, its that theres more guys who can do flashy moves/crowd pleasing stuff. I do understand what you mean by that though, and its really nice seeing a young kid appreciate what MJ was doing. He was a once in an existance player, no one will ever be able to do what he did all combined together as he did it. Some guys can almost match one aspect, but they dont have that whole package in one person like MJ was.

Young brother, what you are seeing on this video is what we saw LIVE in Chicago Stadium/United Center. This is why us "old heads" have a difficult time accepting James as the GOAT. We have already witnessed greatness. He made the game look effortless. That player he was holding the ball from was Wally Szczerbiak. He was a middle of the road player, but not a plumber. MJ just MAKES those guys look like plumbers. Even Dumars would tell you that you will react to Jordan's every movement, because he is liable to do some to you, or on you. More talent? Um, that is debatable. They would still get that work from old school dogs because they lack key fundamentals. Kareem would Skyhook these kids to death. Only Wilt was ever able to block it. Bird would talk shit and tell them what he was going to do and then DO IT. Who is strong enough to handle Shaq, Wilt, Gilmore, Thurmond, or even Kemp? I could list here for days.

If u watch closely all of these shots are toughly contested he had to do these move’s because how hard the defense played each and every game all game. Ppl be tripping when they say the defense was soft or not like todays🤣 it was harder back than look at them contesting these shots as hard as they can on almost every play. Great vid btw!!💯

If Bron had more killer mentality to just dominate in scoring and defense every single game instead of taking plays off and standing around, his career would be shorter but at his peak would be a more athletic version of Tracy McGrady. Most likely would have stayed around the 230 range too and not get up to 250+. All that extra muscle made him a bulldozer to the rim but also made it harder to shoot.

Having observed the likes of Jordan, Kobe, and LeBron, here's some perspective. Many, including Nick Wright, argue LeBron is the superior athlete. While LeBron might fit the mold of an NFL tight end, let's talk basketball specifics. Michael Jordan stood at 6'6", boasted a 4.3-second 40-yard dash, and shared the record for the highest vertical leap in NBA history at 48". While other players have matched that 48" leap, none have surpassed it. In comparison, Kobe had a 38" vertical and LeBron's was 40". Jordan's exceptional hand size further sets him apart. When evaluating pure athleticism in basketball, one could argue Jordan stands at the pinnacle. Describing their playstyles, think of LeBron as a freight train, Kobe as an F-15 fighter jet, and Jordan as the advanced F-22. It's not my intention to sway your opinion, but rather to present lesser-discussed facts. Strip away Jordan's name, and you're left with a player profile: 6'6", 215 lbs, 4.3 40-yard dash, 48" vertical, substantial hand size, coupled with an unmatched work ethic both on and off the court. Given these attributes in an NBA or NFL scouting report, he'd likely be a top 3 pick without a second thought.

here's a funny/amazing stat...even though the Detroit "Bad Boy" Pistons beat the living daylights out of MJ back in the 80s and 90s, MJ still averaged 37.5 pts per game!! (according to Isiah Thomas who played in all of those beat down games against MJ, Isiah said in an interview, "...and sometimes MJ would get hot!" (meaning that MJ would score more than 37) ...it's just ridiculous to know that MJ had to endure that same kind of physical punishment every year from the Pistons, Knicks, Pacers, Magic, Heat, and Cavaliers throughout the playoffs...then get it from the Western Conference teams in the Finals...MJ definitely gave new meaning to the word 'extra-terrestrial' and 'UAP/UFO' unidentified aerial phenomena/unidentified flying object...(which makes my brain hurt knowing that in spite of the constant punishment during his years with the Bulls, MJ was able to lead the NBA in scoring 10 consecutive seasons, make the All-Defensive 1st Team 9x, lead the NBA in Steals and Blocks 3x, and win Defensive Player of the Year during that stretch of abuse...MJ wasn't just mentally tough, but physically tough as well, which explains how he was able to play in ALL 82 regular season games in 8 years with the Bulls and 1x at age 40 with the Wizards...MJ doing what only the G.O.A.T. can do..👽💯💥✌

The type of athlete Jordan was doesn't need to be talked about because everyone already knows this unless you are too young to have seen it which is why we think people are out of their mind when they suggest someone else is better. We've seen MJ and we can see the current players. There's no comparison. If Jordan played today, he would still be ahead of his time and he would score way more points with today's defense and spacing. No one plays like this. Yea Jordan had high scoring outputs without the 3 but this game will show you what happens if Jordan does decide to take you out from deep. Barely any layups this game for MJ standards and he killed em wit the middy and the 3 ball. Again he wasn't crazy consistent with the three ball, but he isn't a liability out there and this crucial playoff game (i think they were down 2-1) shows why you can't just dare him to shoot. But to be honest most of his shots were contested too so it wasn't even like the Knicks were lackin he just went crazy 😭 love the content bro

I wished these kids would stop saying plumbers. In the 80’s and 90’s there were hall of fammers on every team. Not just one or even two. And they were aloud to play defense back then and dirty defense at that. They could fight sometimes and still be in the game. Now days u can’t breath on anyone. Players today couldn’t hack it back then. I keep hearing it’s fast pace and better there is no way. And the reason it’s faster pace is bc nobody has to worry about defending. They just run from 3 point line to 3 point line and wherever the ball bounces that’s who gets the rebound and they walk every time. They can run and take two steps with dribbling then dribble and then take 4 more steps. Lebron walks Everytime. I e seen him run from half court to shoot a layup and never bounce the ball and then they can carry it in their pocket if they want. Some crazy shit goes on now days. There is no rivalry bc there is no heart or defense taunting or anything we like watching. And players today don’t play but 60 games and team hop and the lebron flops. Who wants to watch that shit

Old heads were not exaggerating when they said the 80-90's were more physical.😅 I remember Bill Laimbeer hard-fouling MJ and the commentator just went "No foul on the play, and of course if you've been around the NBA long enough, you know that no fracture, no foul !" LMAO ! There's a channel called Pure Sweat Basketball that did a series about Jordan's skillset. It's ten 5-10 minutes episodes that go in-depth over every facets of MJ's game from a technical standpoint, from his mid-range and separation moves to his off-ball defense. Whether you wanna react to it or not is up to you, I'm just mentioning it because you seem to love studying the game so I thought you might like it. If I had a kid who wanted to make career in basketball, I'd have him sit down and watch every episode ten times. 😅

If Jordan in his prime were playing in today's NBA, dude would be averaging 50-60 points per game, *AND* be named defensive player of the year damn-near *EVERY* season! LeFlop ain't got s#¡T on Black Jesus! And he wouldn't be getting all the flack that he(deservedly) gets if he hadn't said "That right there made me the greatest of all time"🙄🤦 Lebron will *NEVER* get the kind of respect that MJ *earned* 20 years from now, some other new modern star of the NBA will be getting compared for G.O.A.T. status. And who is he gonna be compared to as *THE* goat?🤔 #23 MJ🤷 Lebron will just be faded memory as everyone will *still* be talking about Jordan first and foremost.

Youngins denying what they are seeing with their own eyes and still calling Lebron the goat is just stubbornness and immaturity. The one they saw has to be the greatest, because they were there for it. There is no per season or per game stat, metric, achievement, skill set, or award that puts Lebron over Jordan. If Jordan were playing today… getting 10 consecutive scoring titles, 5 MVPs, 6 rings, 6 finals MVPs, DPOY, and 3 steals titles to boot… in front of their own eyes, youngins would be howling how he is the greatest. If Lebron played in the 80s or 90s with exact same accomplishments… he would already be forgotten.

Maybe I'm missing out on what you mean by "toughest player"... you mean most difficult to guard, perhaps? The toughest player ever, with regard to physical and mental toughness and playing through injuries, which is how i would use the word "toughest, " is undoubtedly Larry Bird. There are a few videos to check out on that... 5 times Bird was injured but refused to quit is a really good one

I'm assuming you are referring to his final shot. It wasn't a push off anyway. Watch the defender. He had his hips turned. He was out of position. He'd never be able to stop and change direction.

These people that say lebron still the goat after watching these videos only say they're close to calling MJ the goat but not yet they just wanna keep you watching they're videos to see if they're going to change they're mind. After seeing these videos they know MJs the goat they just want you to keep watching until they do. That's smart promotion though

Thank you nephew, to beat the future you gotta study the past. Im 44 and he wasn't even my favorite i just to suck it up and respect it. Do Penny Hardaway(first 4 years before injures) Isaiah Thomas- no hack. No six rings without going to the weight-room to beat 'em. Salute.

How about you watch a whole Jordan-pistons game ? I think the Pistons beat the Bulls literally out of a series and after that they decided to bulk up for the next season after and won their first rings.

Nah it’s not more talent today, that’s something you new dudes need to tell yourselves to feel secure about your place in history. If that was the case then the older players from previous generations wouldn’t be so mad that they never played in a generation like this because they see it as soft and easy.

MJ’s the Goat. Not even close. LB only played for maybe half his career. Can’t be the/a Goat if that’s the case. And that last shot in Utah was not a push off. Russell was 6’7” 225 lbs and was faked out and lost his balance. MJ barely touching him with his left/weak hand is most definitely not a push off.
Why Is He Unhappy…?
