How much does it cost to do a swap?

@@jmhellison I did the swap about 2 years ago. $6k 2jzgte vvti, $1700 driftmotion turbo kit, $600. CX Racing intercooler kit, $600 fic 650cc injectors, $200 ATI tranny shift kit, $200 super afc, $300 to wire it, $150 drive shaft, $600 for a friend to install it. I'm sure I missed something. I'm running about 17psi.

The owner of this car did it himself. He does all his work himself. It’ll be back on here once he builds the trans, and puts the fuel system in it.

Thanks for watching. That’s a question the owner would have to answer. Me personally I think the 1uz is a badass motor as it is. I think I remember someone telling me recently that there is a supercharger kit for them or at least one that can be swapped on to it from something else. Again that’s what someone said to me, idk if that is true. But I know the 2jz has a much wider aftermarket support than the 1uz. I guess it comes down to how much do you wanna spend and how much work are you wanting to put into it swapping from 1uz to 2jz. As far as the weight, I’m sure he just threw a number out there. I wouldn’t quote him on that. He just means it’s a big 4door land yacht. 🤣 His is a very good example of a clean build that works.

@@shaneomatic9188 The ford gt40 supercharger works but no one is getting more than 100whp out of those unfortunately. I’m thinking a little shorter final drive from the aristo to make it snappier, the valve body upgrade to hasten the gear changes and extend the life of the gear box, and just rock it out with the bolt ons I already have. Other than that the car is mint inside and out and riding on bc extreme coils. Anyway, thanks for responding. Subb’d 👍

Yes. We don’t have the Aristo in the states, just the gs300 with the N/A 2jz. So he made a Aristo basically with a single turbo and the 2jzgte swap.

@@Tyloxkipper should look into buying a clean GS and go with the NA-T route. That's what I'm doing in Perth. I was looking at getting an Aristo when they were 13-17k in Aus less than 2 years back, now you're looking at minimum 20k, AVG 25K for a clean one + waiting times. Look up Sideways Perfomance here on YT and check their content on what work needs to be done for NA-T! Built GE imo is wiser than stock GTE. Of course if you're set on JDM Aristo, I hope you can get one as it's still a worthy investment

Nope. In the USA we only have the Naturally aspirated 2JZ in a Lexus GS300, SC300 and IS300. 😢😢😢 we have a GS/SC400 with a 1UZFE V8 as well.

Gotcha! Ya I just snagged an aristo out here in Japan and I wasn't to sure which way I wanted to start my build/continue the build(fuel&ecu or turbo&ecu). Trans has been swapped with a couple other upgrades though. If you or anyone have any insight I can shoot a vid of it and would appreciate any recommendations.

@@Its.For.Fun. yeah I hear you. A single like this one seems to work for him pretty well. Not too much lag from it but once it spools it’s pulls good. I’ve always been a fan of the GS and especially the SC’s. Pretty badass swap, this was the first one I’ve actually seen done in person. I guess it’s not super uncommon anymore.

The owner told me they were off a mustang s550. American muscle sells them online.
