There's this Ricky Gervais show called Derek where there's this scumbag side-character in it who basically freeloads at a retirement home..and he really makes the show hilarious, and something like that could be a pretty good series with the TPB trio..I mean imagine them working and freeloading and scamming/running a nursing home. Haha. But yeah that's a fantastic show. I'll have to check this one out.

It's hard to get away from things once your known I think the boys are trying new roads. I think a group of friends show with some mischief is their hitch tho. I thought they were going to use George Green as the new Lahey and keep going with TPB but I don't think that will ever happen now so we have to hope the next projects are better.

@@SurvivenTerry True, but the Jail premise was very smart, just badly executed..basically because Clattenberg was such a vital member of TPB. Bring him back and I think they can pull anything off.

@@wheelmanstan Seriously. The boys are extremely talented/ideal actors at playing great Canadian sitcom characters but they just need an engine like Clatenberg to pull things off. They need at new writter with lots of fun, funny, and unique ideas. Not even skilled in other departments just someone that can be an engine full of passion for a unique style, world, and original Canadian characters (these characters in the trades I feel like are almost it) like Trailer Park Boys 💪💯💯

It hasn't been the same without him, Mike Smith just makes Bubbles a big whiny fucking baby every episode and it gets extremely tiresome. Not to mention the amazing wind down they could have had if only they'd resisted retconning Ricky being Lahey's son. Such a waste of potential in Mike Smith's writing.

@@adolescentwombat most of 2023 was filming shit with no real releases. And Animated TPB doesn't count, it shouldn't have existed in the first place and is essentially an entirely different IP. We have known all of these projects have been coming for a few years now, and by the time they come out I guarantee the boys will be too old to do anymore actual seasons afterwards. And Randy's Reach? Live at RR? Those straight up don't fucking count lmao. RW's The Trades isn't even TPB related, so who cares? If they weren't spreading themselves thin on projects that are utter wastes of time then we could have had a new season by now. No wonder Netflix tossed them to the curb, they need Clattenburg and Dunn back.

​​​@@brokesmoke101yeah exactly I agree but they did film 2 projects in 2023 that took 3 months filming and also finished the animated and also a month of filming Robb's new show so in that way that year more than counts. Just like back in 2013, a very productive year for them that had no releases. You try making 5 projects without any production resources to pull from. They are struggling right now but they're doing it. They have done it before though when they filmed Season 8 in the summer of 2013 and were in the middle of preproduction for Season 9 when they made the deal with Netflix for Seasons 8 and 9 in March of 2014 (they were supposed to go to Swearnet, members were pissed). At least Clattenburg, Ray and Volpe had a Network that was in the business of TV Production to lean on (albeit a fairly youngish one at the time). Yes Ray, Clattenburg and Volpe had to jump through hoops with bulls**t notes from Showcase but they at least had those production resources and line producers and such to call upon (and Ray, Clattenburg and Volpe had the last laugh on Showcase anyways as they were the only ones who the made money off the DVDs). Netflix's TV division just paid the boys to stream the finished product and to put Netflix Original on it, sometimes with a pending deal and sometimes not. Season 11 and Animated Season 2 also didn't have pending deals. Netflix had no say whatsoever in any creative or production decisions, nor provided any production resources. The boys had to hire their own line producers and such (as the boys' employees) and same with the crew and such. At least the boys didn't have to report to Network bosses like the original 3 had to. Remember the boys have to write it, do preproduction themselves, film it in character and oversee post production on all the live actions. And from 2014 to 2021 the boys had some sort of Season for us with every year accounted for. Making 5 projects in the last 3 years seems about right when you do them all at once like that. Jail 2 and Animated 3 will be out before 2024 is up. Well depending if the 5 are going over at the same time to a new streamer. As it most likely won't be Netflix nor Swearnet. *So if and when those 2 projects come out in 2024 that only leaves 2 years where they didn't release a major project since 2014 (2022, 2023).*
