Join us as we delve into the compelling journey of one of the biggest rock bands of the late 90s and early 2000s, Creed. Despite their meteoric rise to fame, the band's descent was equally, if not more, startling. In this video, "The Real Reason Behind Creed's Astonishing Fall From Grace," we dissect the complex tapestry of success and disappointment that defined their legacy.

Scott Stapp has changed a lot. His podcast with Theo Von was one of the most inspirational things I have seen. I think labelling this a 'tragic' downfall is extreme on your part. Someone like Lostprophets are what you would describe a 'tragic downfall' Creed needed time apart. They've all grown, will be back, and they will be the best they have ever been.

I never knew they were supposed to be a Christian Band 😅
@michaelkumar2530
@michaelkumar2530 Ай бұрын
@@RightofCenter They're not a Christian Band. Scott Stapp talks about a lot of topics from a spiritual standpoint, and he has his own stance on his view of Christianity. The band itself is not a Christian Band, and were never comfortable with throwing themselves under that label. One of the reasons Creed were considered hypocritical because of Scotts Stapps actions were in opposition with what he is singing about around the time they were popular. Scott Stapp had an incredibly traumatic childhood which would explain his actions. He was always trying to do the right thing, but like all of us was only human. At that the age ego, and the enticement of being a rockstar would've heavily played into it also. This is still heavily misunderstood today, but I feel is more understood than it was back then. His songs, and his lyrical content was actually ahead of it's time, and actually provides a source of healing. The songs take on such a different meaning, and people understand them better as they have gotten older. Honestly, them coming back into fruition was perfect timing. For themselves, and the listeners. I am an avid Creed fan, and will happily defend their music. It's fantastic to see how he looks, and sounds. We all go through stuff like this, and when you make it more to the other side you appreciate it alot more for what it is. Some of us are in the public eye, and not. It's all relative though. I really am glad to see them back together, and wish them all the success in the world moving forward.

I saw Stapp solo in Oshkosh at the Rock USA festival. He put on a great show in a small pavilion. The crowd sang every word with him. It was electric and almost spiritual.

I saw him March 11th 2005 at The Rave/Eagles Ball Room in Milwaukee. He sounded amazing and the crowd was beyond ecstatic. We all sung all the lyrics to his solo album songs and CREED songs. Scott Stapp had to stop a fight during the song With Arms Wide Open and thanked the audience for being so patient afterwards. Anyways it was definitely a concert worth remembering and I will always cherish the memory of being able to see one of the greatest frontmans/vocalists of all time. I am a straight up METAL head with Motionless In White being my current favourite band but I owe it all to Scott Stapp solo and CREED along with Mark Tremonti solo or with Alter Bridge for influencing me into liking HARD ROCK and METAL.

Being a S. Florida native, I've seen these guys numerous times and was never disappointed in a performance. It felt badly when I heard of their break-up, but I also understood that things like this happen in life. It wasn't until afterwards when so many bad things were said about Scott. He has a great voice. If he's gotten his life together and stays clean, then this reunion should be one for the ages. I'm looking forward to hearing what they can do.

Hell Yeah! When someone I loved very much, asked me to sign the CD Human Clay when we'd actually met face to face for the first time! I sent it to him because we felt like so much of the tunes they had released ! Higher was our song and a challenge to each other to always reach higher and support one another no matter what! I miss him 🥺 tragically he was killed before all of our dreams could come true! I'm excited for Creed and to be able to hear something good and not all the crappy stuff out there now! Was big fan dating back to when my own prison came out. Remember thinking in 03 that why isn’t there any new music yet and checking website then I saw the announcement and remember the alter bridge announcement. I loved alter bridge the moment I heard marks solo on open your eyes. They got so much better over the years and really built a great reputation and could really explore their talents by teaming with Myles. Tremonti band is also great. I’m not sure if we get that had creed stayed together. Creed would have been pushed to be poppier and poppier (just look at weathered) if they didn’t break up but instead like full circle we can get creed that ain’t playing for radio success but for making music like they did for first two albums.

Creed is certainly not unique in this aspect. Fame and fortune is extremely hard for many to adjust to and when your successful and everyone is kissing your ass and telling you what you should do and should take to be cool in this type of unrealistic feeling world of celebrity, it can change anyone. Most start to believe their own hype and become self absorbed and in Scotts case even more so. Add drugs and booze with dirty woman and you have a recipe for disaster. So happy that he acknowledged his faults and is trying to make up for it and he is kicking ass again touring with his band sounding great considering. Most Rock stars either stay burnt out or try to recindle that old flame but can't due to irreversible damage to their vocal chords but he's belting out those Creed hits like it's 2000 again. So for me he has redeemed himself and is worthy of another listen ✌🏽❤️
