If you sign a deal, especially to a smaller label, if you have even 1 'hit' or got a buzz off any of your music, if the label doesn't see you as the main star, since the label will probably own your music IF/WHEN you die, it isn't too hard to knock you off. They know where you are at almost all times, if you have security, it's probably provided BY the label, etc. That's how these lower tier labels stay afloat. It's even better for the labels when said rapper IS in the streets, with the possibility of then getting caught lacking in the streets.... It gets much deeper and evil (according to me) but it's too much to post, but yeah. This generations favorite rapper will ALWAYS be influenced by WHOEVER the industry wants to have as the face of rap.
