Episode eight of Season four has the guys, after 4 years, finally at Harry's to run trains. At Harry's house is an amazing O gauge layout that he, Walt & Bill, along with several members of the North Penn O Gaugers Model Railroad Club had built and maintains. So, on this episode you get to see several sections of the layout while they run various pieces of Strasburg Railroad Lionel equipment.
The "Train Shop" is their 85 year old family run model railroad shop, Henning's Trains in Lansdale Pennsylvania. They are model railroaders and not Audio Visual people, but they seem to enjoy themselves and we hope you do too.

First off, best wishes to your son for a speedy recovery Bill! A fun show gents, and it's always a treat to have a look at the Train Farm. And I was VERY impressed with the "Wall O' Reading!" I have to concur with Harry. Since I have first hand memories of the Bicentennial (I was a "Bicentennial Marine" myself!) I can state that aside from proclamations recognizing the Bicentennial Era (1973 to 1976) the US government really didn't do much for the festivities, it was all state, local, and private. And we haven't heard a thing yet with the 250th anniversary of American independence coming up in two years from anyone. Thanks for posting!

We thank you for following us. Andrew is making a great recovery. Russ Roland had mentioned a little about what is going on with the Reading 2100 being renumbered 250 for the upcoming 250-year Centennial. I believe there is something in the plans he could not fully mention.

@@harryhenninglll117 Thanks for the info about Ross and 2100 Harry! I'd guess Ross is working on sponsorship and funding for a 2100 / 250 exhbition tour so certainly a lot of it's going to be on the QT for now. I'd love to see him get C&O 614 running again, we rode behind it in the 1990s on the NJ Transit excursions. What a thrill that was! (There's a formal term for a 250th anniversary but I believe it's almost unpronounceable!) PS: I just jumped on the Google Machine and found two terms for a 250th anniversary, "semiquincentennial" which is QUITE a mouthful and the more user-friendly "sestercentennial." The thing is there won't be a REALLY easy term to use until the Tricentennial rolls along but I don't think I'm gonna live that long! 🤣

Nice layout, you should give us some stats on it. Overall dimensions…number of trains that can be run at the same time, mainline lengths, turnouts, what industries servers etc.

Thanks for watching us. The layout is 28ft X 55ft. The main line is just over 500 feet. The turntable is Millhouse River Studios 34 in. The transfer table is a Millhouse River Studios as well. We can usually run up to 8 at one time. As long as we have plenty of people to run them. Hopefully this helps.

Did you make the trees on your layout, i Keep trying to make realistic ones but I haven't been successful yet. Maybe one show you could show us how. Sorry to hear about Bill's son glad he'll be okay.

Some of the trees I have made and a few a friend had made. Lots of them are the scenic Express super trees.
