Күн бұрынhello there! this video is the first of a new series I am creating with the support of Linklaters to help give more online exposure to the legal profession. when I was a young student I felt very lost and confused entering the world of career events and graduate schemes - I felt like an outsider. i'm hoping that this series helps open up the profession to more students across the UK, and gives a realistic idea of not just trainee life, but how you can get involved in similar opportunities - no matter your background! much love, eve x

MrDarudin Funnily enough I work for a charity that used to be considered as part of the civil service. I get to conserve historical properties for people to visit them. I mean I totally get why people would want to work in a law firm in London with indoor gyms and what not, but I suppose it is because I am blessed to work in such amazing environment with stunning views of countryside that spending all day everyday in an office is just my version of hell.

@@kellynorman9270 Yeah, I made the mistake of going into law enforcment after my undegrad. Being exposed to the less than flashy sides of society makes you unable to work in big cities without constantly being aware of the less priviliged.

I mean because I do live and work in the countryside miles away from London I kinda end up watching these vloggers on KZfaq the way someone might observe an alien on a different planet. Total escapism as its the exact opposite of my life.

I am American, I have no interest in becoming a lawyer, and I don't drink coffee. But I absolutely love these videos because Eve is so good at what she does. It's cool to see she's found her calling not only as a lawyer, but as a creator. Thanks for taking us on your journey with you Eve 🙏

As someone studying design, seeing the interiors, space planning, and decor of the firm is already a great insight into Institutional Design; add the fact that your labels, edits, transitions, and music are engaging and interesting -- this video is both informative and really well-made!!

She mentioned that it's in partnership with them which means that she's almost definitely being paid for it!

I doubt they are paying her. Law is still very traditional so I expect they gave her permission to film this in exchange for being able to have a say on editing etc. Remember this benefits her as much as it does them so partnership suggests unpaid mutual understanding. The law firms I have worked at would never have given permission for this so it shows law is changing for the better.

@@Michelle-fr1fw I don't think you understand city law or the relationship between law firms and trainees. I trained a few years ago now. I worked during holidays, many all nighters, weekends, missed social events, even a wedding. I did marketing for the firm, edited the firm magazine, wrote articles. None of this for extra pay or overtime. The law firms hold all the power when you're a trainee as you're trying to prove your worth to be kept on. The most she'll get from this is a thank you and some internal kudos. Linklaters is one of the toughest firms in the world to get into, they hardly need to sponsor their own trainee for marketing. It's great she even managed to get their permission- shows they like her a lot.
