@Zeek Banistor than you should get your facts straight, Van Damme competed in many martial arts tournaments and won his fair and share of em, he is close to 60 and still is in a physical state most 25y old can't even touch, you are just a hater nothing more, you can't even write his name correctly.

Cody Garbrant is a pathetic baby and he thought JCVD was making him look bad so he acted like the little baby he is and threw a hissy fit. JCVD felt bad cuz he was only there out of respect for the fighters.

His training partner in the video is a moroccan named mohammed qissi, who's also his best buddy. They even went to the US together when JCVD was showcasing his talent and looking for movie deals. The guy did some acting along side Van Damn in bloodsport (Suan Paredes), kickboxer (Tong Po) and lionheart (moustapha).

petit bonjour du liban a saint priest proche de lyon .belle reussite due a son seul travaile.jean claude a gagner beaucoup de fric et haujourd huie il est en paix et libre brvo a lui quelle talent.je trouve que l on ne parle pas assez de son parcourt en karate et ces victoires belge mondial et europeen un sacree parcourt.apres avoir derayer avec la drogue je trouve son combat contre la drogue que lui seul a prie ,avec un courage enorme et il a tout remie en place lui seul bravo jean claude .tes films je les regardes pas je les trouve pourrave de chez pourave mais j admire le talent et tu en as .bonne continuation jean claude.

he was great in his days and still is. He is in sheap and most of us will nevere reach it that high as he has personaly and sportly. His movies were great when I was young and watched them. He will be remembered and todays wannabes will have a hard time to beat him or the likes of him.

Not sure what it was about him, but you just loved this guy as a kid, he looked good, his muscularity was just right, his style was easy on the eyes and inspiring, he just always stood out as the best action guy. Even the accent made his more alluring

3:04 damn I never knew he could do the flare... it's funny because a lot of people who are bboys can't do the flare but they are considered dancers while van damme can do it, he is not considered a dancer or b-boy

honestly that probably wasn't him for the fact that in movies when someone is doing either stunt or something crazy but don't show the actors face it usually isn't him...he may or may not be able to do it but as far as the movie goes i would say its isn't him for the fact that his face isn't being shown...imo

There are at least a couple martial arts that are considered a dance or in the Wests case have devolved, or evolved into what we now know as ballet. Consider Chinese classical dance, quite similar to ballet in many ways yet very much a softened version of their martial forms. This being said, every martial artist is a dancer and vice versa. Just about anyone with a high degree of flexibility and strength can replicate any form of movement conceivable by another human. On flares, they are much easier on a palma horse than the ground. It is more conceivable that he could do them on that piece of equipment rather than the floor. Pfft I need to design my masters thesis on this stuff :D
