I rode the tram 🚊 when I was a child in Jamaica. Oh for the good days back then. Parade is where you go to get all the buses to your destination around town, up to Constant Spring. King street is where you go shopping 🛍

Thanks for sharing. Some of the lines were still visible in the fifties so you have now connected all the dots.

@@EliteJamaicaVery interesting Topic .Could you do one on the Jamaica Omnibus Service?. This is Jamaica's 1st organized Bus Company & is a part of Jamaica's transportation History . There's a few of the L & G buses that used to operate in the 60s that are still in good condition located in Black River used as hostel buses . It would be good if the classic cubs make a joint effort in restoring these Kingston Street Icons & display them in classic shows .Many younger generation never heard of j.o.s bus Company .

Yes, I knew of it and drove on it at a young age with my older cousin Joyce when I was about 6yrs. Yes and donkey carts use to be the main transport when I lived in Smith Village in Greenwich which was mostly agricultural growing mostly callao cabbage and carrots. Trent Town was all bushy and breed goats, sheep and pigs. White people use to be in Greenwich at ST.Albans Anglican Church. Today, sadly its a ghetto

My late mother was laughed at by her peers for living in Kingston and not knowing Tram Car. But in her defense, she claimed that by the time she left the rural areas to live in Kingston, Tram cars were already out of service 🙄
