The planet was in shambles and depleted of energon when Prime and Megatron disappeared. He rebuilt most of Cyberton's structures, created new, deadlier killing machines and everything ran efficiently while Megatron was away. Shockwave is a heartless tyrant, but damn that guy can work.

I personally relate with shockwave. I have always lived far from my friends growing up, and things like FaceTime were my constant ways of communication with my friend group. So I always related with him being the decepticon who lives apart from the others, alone, and can only video chat his comrades.

I think Shockwave is by far the most scary Transformer of them all. His design, his calculative mindset.

Out of all of the Decepticons, Shockwave was and still to this day remains my all time favourite Transformer. He was the whole package, incredibly smart, cold, calculating and of course evil. I always enjoyed the episodes that were set on Cybertron because i knew we would get to see Shockwave have more screen time and play a big role in the stories. Love the fact that Shockwave was voiced by Corey Burton who would later go on to provide the of voice Brainiac for Superman the animated series who was also another cold unfeeling villainous machine. A Decepticon who remained behind on Cyberton and protected the planet as it's guardian for 4 million years deserves true respect. I wished we had got an episode where Shockwave came to earth and joined the Decepticons in battle against the Autobots, i think that would have been a lot of fun. Shockwave is easily in my top 3 favourite Decepticons.

Shockwave was one of my favorite Decepticons.

According to the toy description, Shockwave was second in command to Megatron. He was also scheming to take Megatron's place as leader. The storyline was completely opposite for the cartoon.

Every time I see the G1 movie I'm in awe of just how great it is, the animation was awesome, the voice acting top notch, the music.. OML.

I like to think of Shockwave as the Waluigi of the Decepticons. He may not have as much screentime as Starscream, Soundwave, or Megs himself, but he's part of the family and warrants as much respect as the others except Starscream. The cyclops guarded and waited on Cybertron for 4 million years for Primus' sake.

I'll never forget when i saw the Shockwave toy in the shop when I was about 11, a couple of months or so before Christmas. Thinking, it will be there for when mum can buy it in a few weeks. Only for me to return to that shop some time weeks later and they had all sold out. I was gutted. I never saw it sold anywhere again after that. Or even before that time.

I love the sequence with Brawn, Wheeljack and Jetfire against Shockwave and the Seekers. Shockwave reminds me of Gandalf when he says, "You cannot get out!"

Currently I’m like Shockwave now being told to stay behind despite all my colleagues going to their respective new work places. Kinda feel sorry for Shockwave he’s a loyal soldier, too loyal and obedient to Megatron in return for nothing and all the trouble of reporting to Megatron and maintaining the space bridge connection.

In the deceptacon ranks, soundwave is the 1st one I liked because of his voice and loyalty. Then came shockwave. Finally, Megatron. In the Autobot ranks, Optimus prime, then Omega supreme. Because even though he had been exposed to the sinister reprogramer, ( out if lack of a better word) , he still wasn't changed into a bad guy.

It turned out, Shockwave was killed by Unicron during the attack on Cybertron. Although his death was on the movie script, it was never animated in the final cut. This explains why he never appeared in Season 3.

A unused scene from the 1986 movie would have shown Shockwaves death. Unicron would have crushed his command tower ripped it off the planet and toar it to shreds, and though this was not shown in the finished version Shockwave was not seen again following the movie.

What was Shockwave doing on earth in Autobot Run? Who's guarding Cybertron?. Anyways, gotta give it to Corey Burton, his voice work is really impressive, specially in that scene in Ultimate Doom part 3, he's essentially talking to himself through 3 characters with 3 completely different voices.
