I’m a close up magician and I have a card trick that I have used for small groups multiple times. I came up with it and no one can figure it out and I don’t use any gaffs and I make sure that I use a sealed deck or if it’s their deck so there’s no way I can do anything to the cards. It would be a very long explanation but I showed it to Martin Lewis when he did a seminar here years ago, btw I have the only copy of his fathers book of stage magic blueprints, but he couldn’t figure it out. I have you pick a card no force used and sign it place it back into the deck and remind you I’ve not touched the deck since the first shuffle. Then I ask them to shuffle the deck again to make sure it’s good and shuffled . I say something like “wouldn’t it be great if I could make your card appear on the top of the deck? That would be real magical wouldn’t it?” Then I turn over the full deck and spread them out but their card is not in there. I ask them to go through all the cards and check all of them to make sure that it’s not hidden or anything. It’s not there and then I have a sealed envelope or I might use something else that theres no way I could have access to like a desk drawer or freezer especially if it’s their deck because there is setup involved. Anyway I’ll produce the signed card and no one has figured out how I get the card. I am using three different tricks with sleight variations (pun intended). One is the torn and restored that Ammar taught me and the other two are from the encyclopedia of card magic but I’m not sure which volume because I’ve got 3. I’m not a noteworthy magician and only did poker parties and a few closed club events so I’ve never had the chance to show some of my “mind blowers” like card in sealed deck trick which is a gimmick but not easily done. Anyway this one blew me away. Go to kickstarter and get it. Well worth the money.

I am not a big fan of this new technology web cam illusions for som reasons I feel its not strong enough as in your face magic

On one hand yes, HOTM 2 is like an expansive to HOTM 1 vs being a whole new equal thing. On the other, for those hating on this, I’m pretty sure this isn’t even part of HOTM 2, this is just a free bonus trick for the kickstarter backers so they have something before Christmas
