Finding the Triforce has been a rumor pervading The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time since the games release. Many rumors, hoaxes, and posts online were created around this very concept. But with today's technologies we've got the ability to go back and make all those dreams a reality with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Triforce% a special showcase of both glitches, beta content, and mastery of the N64 Hardware.

@@SL33PY_4SH The entire thing is done with Arbitrary Code Execution. We use glitches to gain the ability to run our own code in the game, and then TASBot uses that to manipulate the console's memory to create all the custom content we showed. The ending is the same thing. So it really is running on a N64 with an unmodified OoT cartridge. It's just an insane amount of glitch exploitation.

Unfortunately we don’t know. Since this isn’t possible to play without specialized hardware I can’t check. I assume they probably don’t do anything tho.

Unfortunately no, our code ignores which choice you pick in the dialog and always continues to the "See the Future" ending. At the plot level, we wanted to have Link be able to make his own wish, but at the presentation level, it would have been silly to build two other endings which we would never get to show. We chose "Be King of Hyrule" and "Rupees" to be kind of lame choices that the audience wouldn't be too upset that they didn't get to see.

As the video started I was agitated because it seemed as if this was just going to be a showcase of a custom hack to create a modded game, like a completely fan-made game-not official Nintendo/Ura/Beta/etc content. However, as the video progresses I'm seeing official beta content that I'd actually never known about, and that makes me extremely happy. I'd never known about that specific beta Kokiri, or the butterfly sidequest, and it was great how they wove together a charming and fun story to showcase these and other beta elements that are still hidden in the retail cart of the game. Super cool! Even though it's not live, the Breath of the Wild ending (who are the voice actors for Link and Zelda?) still made me feel all warm and fuzzy. I would also like to add that the music was really well done!!!

The ending was absolutely live! We really had the BotW characters with the cel shading and the live Twitch chat on the N64 at SGDQ. No cheating, just a ton of Arbitrary Code Execution.

I was a kid when game was out born in 86. But I remember seeing the pictures of the beta stuff and I remember wondering how to get the triforce considering it was in the menu. Now to see this is wild. My childhood is complete.

It’s a mixture of both adding in context via live injection of code and also accessing beta element that are still on the retail cart.

@@1thetruezeldamaster I would have to strongly disagree with this statement. The fact that they pulled off all this editing live absolutely merits it praise above most OOT hacks/mods! Additionally, They wove together a narrative that highlights the most compelling rumors from the past, while showcasing content that is generally inaccessible but still hiding in the retail cart of the game. Most OOT hacks barely even come to fruition despite promising so much. This fills a void in the hearts of many long-time OOT fans while pulling it off in real time, and with feeling!

It’s not a rom hack. TASbot injects code into the game live while it’s being played.

@@JermaineATL i actually watched two clips of this, and it just felt fake to me. does not really feel like, actual n64 models, the models don't even fit in the game, they seem out of place, if you look at actual n64 models, of link then the end clip with botw link and zelda, side by side, it just feels fake, so when i saw the first clip, i was like. So, where is the scene with the triforce in it?
