Super! Love this song! Director Minelli said: "Perfect!" after the first take. He was perfectly right!

Yeah,I watched that scene on the Movie "Me and My shadows-Life with Judy Garland".It seems to me that Minnelli fell in love with Garland right at that moment.

Did they really shoot this in one scene
@fanofcameron4 жыл бұрын
@@ilovejudytoo Hi, I' m not sure, I think this statement refers only to Judy's singing part. As long as she is singing - starting at 1:28 - there is only one little break at 3:20. So for the song it could be true.

God Yahweh loves and offers Salvation Only by Faith in Jesus and His Sacrifice, because we are sinners and deserve hell, but God the Father who is Great in Mercy sent His Son Christ Jesus to die in our place (As it is written in Isaiah 53 , Daniel 9...), and with His Birth, Life, Death and Resurrection He gives us Life, because He is God (as it is written in Isaiah that He is the Mighty God, in Micah that He is Eternal...), and to the die instead of us, He who is Perfect pays for our sin, only by Faith in Jesus and His Sacrifice, there is no other way, no other. The Wrath of God fell on Him, so that it would not fall on us, and He offers us Salvation Only by Faith, because our works of justice are like filthy rags before a God Three Times Holy, God bless you REPENT AND BELIEVE IN THE GOSPEL!

Clang, clang, clang went the trolley. Ding, ding, ding went the bell. Zing, zing, zing went my heartstrings, as we started for Huntington Dell. Chug, chug, chug went the motor. Bump, bump, bump went the brake. Thump, thump, thump went my heartstrings, as we glided for Huntington Lake. The day was bright. The air was sweet; the smell of honeysuckle charmed me off my feet. I tried to sing but couldn't squeak. In fact I felt so good, I couldn't even speak. Buzz, buzz, buzz went the buzzer. Time to all disembark. Time to part with my heartstrings, as we got off at Huntington Park, as we got off at Hunt -- Hey! --ington Park. With my high-starched collar and my high-top shoes and my hair piled high up on my head, I went to lose a jolly hour on the trolley and lost my heart instead. With his light brown derby and his bright green tie, he was quite the handsomest of men. I started to yen, so I counted to ten, then I counted to ten again. Clang, clang, clang went the trolley. Ding, ding, ding went the bell. Zing, zing, zing went my heartstrings. From the moment I saw him, I fell. Chug, chug, chug went the motor. Bump, bump, bump went the brakes. Thump, thump, thump went my heartstrings. When he smiled, I could feel the car shake. He tipped his hat and took a seat. He said he hoped he hadn't stepped upon my feet. He asked my name. I held my breath; I couldn't speak, because he scared me half to death. Chug, chug, chug went the motor. Plop, plop, plop went the wheels. Stop, stop, stop went my heartstrings. As he started to go, then I started to know how it feels when the universe reels. The day was bright. The air was sweet; the smell of honeysuckle charmed you off your feet. You tried to sing but couldn't squeak in fact you loved him so, you couldn't even speak. Buzz, buzz, buzz went the buzzer. Plop, plop, plop went the wheels. Stop, stop, stop went my heartstrings. As he started to leave, I took hold of his sleeve with my hand. And as if it were planned, he stayed on with me and it was grand just to stand with his hand holding mine to the end of the line.

I have a desk bell 🔔... Commonly seen in movies as prerequisite to summon staff at any motel or hotel. There's always 'a back' and they're always in the back instead of being at reception in the lobby... Anyway, for years now whenever I ring this bell I begin singing this song, and I have no idea how it came to be in my consciousness, though I can remember it being there since I was around 8 -10 years old. Despite NEVER having seen this movie 🍿🎥 😁

2014 parked downtown about the same time a train was coming up to the overpass. He was ringing the bell letting people know he was coming I stayed and watched, and sang to myself this song I knew the song just not from where. Put a huge smile on my face as I walked to the office building a city block and 1/2 more smiled even though I was late and the rest if the day flew by with no worries. The first Judy Garland movie I remember is the Wizard of Oz. Maybe grandma watched something that I picked up but not something I could recall. She loved Judy Garland
