The Trouble with Being Born (French: De l'inconvénient d'être né) is a 1973 philosophy book by Romanian author Emil Cioran. The book is presented as a series of aphorisms, meditating primarily on the painful nature of being alive, and how this is connected to other subjects, such as God, metaphysical exile, and decay. In 2020, The Trouble with Being Born became a Penguin Modern Classic.

just found out about cioran yesterday. been working through the birth i fear like death for about 4 years now. the paradox of living to contemplate the birth i believe will kill me if i continue being born prevents me from seeing my own future.

Why you choose Emil Cioran. He was a great philoopher, willing to get ourselves aware of the darkness of our psichi. Good job keep doing it is helpfull for many, and has a purpose and meanings of its own.

Great reading choice! Good voice, too. I wish you could get rid of the breathing noises- noise cancellation, maybe? Better microphone?

Cioran has great insights on life and death, the expiriance of self consciousness. But I disagree with his historical claims. He is wrong about Hitler and does not seem to be aware of the Jewish influence on European historical events.
