As a British tank main, can vouch, pain to grind. 5 minutes to fight, often feels like only 30 seconds to die, and even less if you aren't careful.

Proudly a british main from 2017-2019 and It is as painful as the people describe But it's totally worth it

This is what it feels like to play as the british in the low tier. Some close calls. Some crazy calls. At other times just plainly nice games in general.

BR 1.0 Arcade Air is great fun with the UK Biplanes - while not the fastest ones out there, they turn like a dream, plus it’s fun to be able to actually dogfight with other players without a tryhard sniping you out of nowhere :)

Where backwards tank gameplay

British Tier 1: Daimler & staghound AA for both are usable in tier 2. British tier 2: Valentine + 6 pounder, Churchill 1, Churchill gun carrier & AEC AA is so deceptively good why use a crusader or Cromwell for the Crusader AA Mk1 is better? British tier 3: multiple Churchills, avenger & Challenger for nothing else is worth using. 2 pounders are nerfed by Gaijin for how would a British 40 mm (1.575 in) heavier round & velocity do less damage then 37 mm gun M3 or German pak36 with a smaller lighter slower round? They needed to nerf Britain for the USA without wonder prototypes that never saw battle would be left with nothing but the M4 Sherman Even the M26 Pershing of the 310 sent to Europe only 20 saw battle which is an inferior tank to the Churchill or Panther. M4 Sherman in War thunder has so much about it fudged & only the best rarer models in game when they won't even put any British Close support designation tanks. The Matilda would be so nice if the Matilda II Mk IV CS was put in with it's 3inch gun as some 500 of the nearly 3000 Matilda's had Close support arrangement. Put every M4 sherman in the game but won't put a Vickers 6 ton or any Vickers with a historically accurate OQF 3-pounder gun as in 47mm which is shameful. How the Coventry armoured car is not present is sacrilege for the Mk II had 75 mm QF & was similar to a Daimler but faster & heavier able to take a bigger gun. No Crusader 5.5 inch gun SP is an atrocity with 140mm gun for you metric lot as just the start for British tank with big guns. Bigger then anything states had only out done by perhaps Germany roughly on par with Russian guns.
