The joke at 19:45 wrote itself (or at least the punchline did). I wholeheartedly agree. On a scale of "Olive Garden" to "The Ceiling of The Sistine Chapel" I'd also rate the game's Italian-ness a solid "Oktoberfest".

The middle weekend of Oktoberfest is known as the Italian weekend, since that’s traditionally when most Italians visit. There is also an initiative where Italian carabinieri come over to Munich during the Oktoberfest to deal with rowdy Italians. I’m told they do the five-finger-Sicilian and every drunk Italian is immobilized.

Different people like different things. Mania wasn't appealing to me, and this is even less. On the other hand I absolutely love Shadow the hedgehog for multitude of reasons and consider 06 a great game. It's not that I will settle for less, it's that my good is your bad and vice versa. I know that someone having completely different standards for what makes a game fun must be mind melting for you, but I won't actually accept mediocrity, it's just that Sonic Mania, Frontiers, and Colours ARE mediocrity for me, which I will not accept, while Forces and Lost World are pretty decent even if not great like Shadow and 06 are. The best classic games are 1, CD, and the 8-bit ones. 3 is annoying in places, 2 is downright awful. Only Mania and Colours are worse than it. Not a fan of Advance 1 or Rush either, but Advance 3 and Rush Adventure are fantastic, with Colours DS and Sonic 4 episode 2 being the best Sonic 2D games.
