Amsoil oil makes the motor oil for that engine and they also make the oil filter. If you're in a really cold area I would definitely use the 0W 40 max Duty Signature Series motor oil. Your truck will start a lot faster and I would also get the Amsoil diesel injector clean all in one which has the C team boost and the anti gel additive for cold weather. As for the transmission I would definitely change it and you'll notice it'll shift a lot easier that will all be in the lookup guide on the link of both

Ya I agree but run Pennzoil for $25 for 5 quarts, not worth 3x the price for me.

Knew a guy back in the early 80s In Coffeyville ks that had a equipment rental place that wouldn't use anything but 30 wt Amsoil.might be because the early multi grade conventional oils didn't hold up. Many of them like 10-40 would void the warranty. You for sure didn't use them in a diesel. My old's diesel manual said only use multi grade in an emergency until you could get single weight. I wondered why if it can't hold up in a diesel why would I put it in my gasoline car. I stuck my neck out and put the new 5-20 Mobil 1. Synthetic in the beetle.It did OK. I think that's all they had. Had moved from California to North Idaho. Afraid the Delo 30 wt might be to thick.

Based off oil-analysis, he would replace the By-Pass & Full-flow filters & top it off with fresh oil; 4 new quarts each time. Still going strong when they moved from Oklahoma to Florida !!!! Randy Bankston, another great friend of mine, had a 1994 Ford F150 with 479,037 miles on it when he finally sold it; the truck he bought as it's replacement was a Ford F150 and it had over 300,000 on it when he was suddenly taken by Covid. I lost a really good friend.

Of course. I think it's funny when people go in the Amsoil website and they say their tests that Amsoil did. All the tests are all industry standard tests across the board LOL I just think it's funny that about 18% of people don't know how to even read basic graphs and read a chemistry study. I used to like Castrol products, I used their GTX motor oil for years when I was a kid. They won that lawsuit which allowed them to say that if something is 51% synthetic, they could call it "Full Synthetic". What a bunch of BS.

I was a crew chief on a FB111-A, those engines use synthetic oil I do remember using Mil-L-7808 7808 is a synthetic lubricating oil for gas turbine engines ok you said If you think about the high temperatures jet engines produce along with how cold the oil gets at 60 to 80 thousand feet. It's a no brainer why synthetic oil is not used.so you mean It's a no brainer why synthetic oil is used right ?

I bought a brand new jeep wrangler in may. I was using royal purple then i saw a vidoe by project farm and amsoil was a little better than royal purple so i switched. Like you said i can not afford to replace cars every 3 years. So i need it to last and i use the best oil out there.

Royal Purple is a very good oil but only for a very short period of time, like 3,000 to 4,000 miles & test show it rapidly begins to fall off the charts in performance.

Amsoil Signature Series 10w30 made my 2005 Explorer Engine sound quieter. It used to have some valve train ticking if I went downhill in 3rd, 2nd or (probably) 1st gear. It still has that noise, but the noise is a lot quieter now, even at 186,000 miles.

Also I would change your oil filter sooner than later that way you have a lot faster oil flow and I would also use the diesel all-in-one every single fill up.

@@Syntheticoilprotection I grew up in a podunk town called Idaho Falls, spent some time in Wyoming getting my associates in auto technology, then lived in Boise for about 7 years while I attended BSU and worked as a mechanic. I worked briefly as a mechanic in Texas after I started grad school but had to cut back. I still do my own work though, such as my hub, brakes, new trans, clutch etc and even rebuilt an engine a couple years ago. If I have something I value I still use Amsoil. It blew me away in 1984 and it still is the best. I knew a rep who used to go to commercial trucking joints and ask them if they had a large freezer. He had a display with solid rear axles mounted to it, one with Amsoil 80-90 and one with conventional. After a couple hours you could barely turn the axles on the conventional differential but the Amsoil differential turned as easy as it was warm. Kinda like the cold temp pour demonstration, it’s an eye opener.

Amsoil + Bestline oil treatment or Motorkote = overkill! And we sometimes need that "overkill" during cold engine startup and high loads, yet the Amsoil alone has proven itself even in the absence of further improvement!

In my old early August 1998 Ford Focus Hatch MK1 1.4 16V (probably about the first FFs to exit the fabric that early), in my mother's Ford Focus 2 Hatch Facelift (2010) and also in my new Ford Focus 3 Ecoboost 1.0 125bhp (2015). I care about my vehicle's engines and after doing an internet research on the lubricity test of various oils and oil treatments alone, I've come to Amsoil + Bestline or Motorkote, because after all, the number one priority of an oil is to not let your components in motion get in direct contact with each other. After all, without a good lubrication (viscosity and other ingredients) you won't be able to run 100 miles before completely destroying your engine, no matter the sludge (the TBN can create more of that), the specific heat (for cooling properties), the evaporation rate, the oxidation rate and other secondary factors. Amsoil seems to have all of those good benefits at high numbers. Although the TBN of the Amsoil that I now use is quite higher (quite double at 12+) than that of the oil recommended for my Ecoboost's manufacturer, which is a 5W-20 Castrol for Stop-Start that has it's TBN at around 6. The internet lubricity tests for the Amsoil prove it has about more than double film strength under pressure compared to most known brands oils. So, even if the high TBN of the Amsoil might create sludge at a higher rate (or maybe not due to other ingredients in the oil that may prevent that from happening) than my recommended Castrol, I still want the Amsoil for better wear protection even if I'll need to change it sooner for not allowing the oxidation or other factors to create sludge (again, if that may happen due to the high TBN). If you're going to do the coolant I would definitely do the biodegradable low toxicity coolant with the Dominator coolant boost. Also if you have any oversized transmission pan or differential covers you'll need to get more fluid just to be safe. I dont know if it's still active I bought a case of oil for my Tundra then traded it in before it needed the oil change 😆 I currently use Hot Shots secret EDT with every tank (bought a case of that too)...which is a solid product but I'll try the Amsoil stuff as well. The new are oil filters have increased in in fission C with Amsoil and they require more frequent changes because the new engines make more heat with the turbos and the oil filters are very small on The Hondas and similar turbo engines. Thanks for sharing that with the channel Nathan the air filters I have a lot of experience with is the air raid oil filter which is a cleanable reusable air filter I've had it on my Corvette for 70,000 miles and it's the best cold air intake air filter I've ever had I also have a lot of experience with the K&N Factory replacement air filters and they are an excellent excellent product. After all of my research into this subject, that was what I found too. I bought a 2004 Corvette about a year ago with 45000 on it and changed the oil to Pennzoil ultra. Then this year after 5000 miles I changed the oil, transmission, and differential to Amsoil. When I opened up the transmission I was pleasantly surprised to see very little metal on the magnet and the fluid in it looked fresh. I probably could have let it go till 100,000 miles. I was seeing 200 degrees in my transmission fluid so I also put on a transmission fluid cooler when I changed the fluid. Now I have not seen it go over 175 yet even though the engine oil has gotten up to 217 at some points in time. From what I hear and see, heat is what kills your transmission fluid so now I am very confident in it lasting for the rest of my life.

Gasoline trucks 5,000 miles. So I won't gain anything from using the Amsoil. I use Rotella T5 synthetic blend which I pay $40 for a 2.5 gal jug and haven't seen Amsoil even close to that price bud.
