Andrew Luck brought his brief NFL career to an end when he retired in 2019 after just six seasons, but in that time, the Indianapolis Colts quarterback made quite a name for himself. Being the successor to the great Peyton Manning was a seemingly impossible task, but Luck quickly endeared himself to fans with his passing skill and all-around likable demeanor. In fact, the quarterback was so nice that he was often overheard complimenting his opponents on the field. From his cameo on a famous sitcom to his feelings towards technology, let’s take a look at the truth about Andrew Luck.

After seeing the success of other AFC south teams we definitely had a shot . He could have at least backed up Brissett and came in those weeks when he was hurt . Then retire at the end of the season .

I feel you. Haven’t watched a game of football since Patrick Willis retired. Even though I was already almost done with sports all together due to the money and entertainment side of the game where they don’t rig games to the point where what they want happens actually happens, but to the point they can drastically help a team win and or lose by simply altering the outcome with bad or missed calls to change the current flow and or momentum. Whether to help teams win, lose or keep the points to Vegas’ odds etc

@Jim Browski when I say respectful is because it is easier to come out and blast out all kinds of arguments against repeated concussions. It's is becoming more and more difficult to defend a sport in which the top officials refuse to admit the high risk of the sport. Luck knows that at the same time so many careers and actual employment opportunities are involved with the sport, wether it is the student athletes, coaches, physical trainers, management positions, even civil engineers, maintenance and Stadium personnel are very dependent on the entire sport/business. It is a very slippery slope in which everyone involved has to use common sense when expressing opinions for or against it.

Noel Beltran I’m not sure if you’re a Colts fan or not but we saw something COMPLETELY different. This recent newfound calf/ankle injury happened in the offseason after he got married while he was “training”. And when he came back to the the camps before the season, he already was contemplating retirement (I think because of his new wife). Either way, he went through this rehab with out displaying nary of a limp at ANY time and which is why MRI’s could never substantiate the “pain”. Again, I think it was made up. So yea, I just think it was a decision he made cuz his heart wasn’t into it and that’s fine. It just was an absolute stunner because it was so random IN THAT MOMENT.

It's crazy that the Colts didn't sure up that line and surround him with more talent sooner. I know Grigson drafted a lot of offensive linemen that just didn't pan out but when you invest that much in one player you have to protect him. Belichick never would've let Tom Brady get beat up that like, especially in his younger years when he was still learning the game. Now Brady understands protection and is a master of sliding around the pocket but Bill never would've let that happen to Luck. I'm no Colts fan but I definitely feel their pain and understand why they booed him. Wasn't a good luck but it was shock and pure frustration right before a promising season.

I can't really blame him after suffering so many injuries, I do hold the colts responsible for their part in cutting his career short. There is no explanation they could give for not giving him the kind of protection a franchise QB needs and IMO they fumbled on that front. I admit his style of play and the fearless approach he took didn't help his cause but that's what kind of player he was, he was always going to go for it. I will miss seeing him reach his potential but at the same time I believe the colts have a well rounded team and will be successful....especially after seeing the colts take down the Chiefs, they can still be a very good team...I'm really happy they kept Brissett around!!

His wife looks tiny but sounds like a genius!! Intern at NASA! Wow! Much respect to Andrew Luck for keeping things in perspective! You don't have to die a young man playing in the NFL! Seems like that's all we hear about, these guys with all this head trauma and chronic pain!! Just quit before it gets too bad!

He can’t come back. He would be universally hated by the players that he quit on. If he retired for the reasons he said in his announcement, it sucks for his teammates, but I guess it is understandable. If he just quit on his team because he wants to go to another organization, he would never have respect from anyone, and would be a target of everyone. Enjoy your retirement Andrew. Enjoy your health and your new life!

In his second training camp after practice some Colts would sign autographs. Andrew Luck would sign after ALL practices. And he signed for everyone. And he said hi or hello to everybody. Everybody says Peyton Manning is a great guy...No he's a jerk! Rude! Back to Andrew Luck..The man would sing with some of the Colts at a Childrens Hospital every Christmas. He's a great football player and a better human. And it broke my heart when he retired. And I can see and understand why he did.

Some fans have all the “LUCK”. Not fair! To have Manning then Luck. Now all I can say is welcome to NFL reality. New England will be learning how it is in about three years. Teams go up, then down. Certain teams seem to always be close. It is the owner, the organization and the G.M. Coach. Having a great q.b. is a gift. Most of us wish we had teams like you guys had have had. Every fan deserves a winning season and a Super Bowl In His/ her lifetime. It is the best sport in the world. Football has a secret ingredient, it teaches us without teamwork, one person depending on the next, as in daily life and work, one cannot achieve the ultimate prize. I was 12 years old when my team won it all. Only problem is that I didn’t watch football yet. I will give you a hint, I am 63, my colors are green, white and black. I live for this team and love them more then life itself.🏈❤️✈️🙏

@MattSmith-iq1ld
@MattSmith-iq1ld 4 жыл бұрын
If any of those fans had experienced a lacerated kidney and multiple concussions, they wouldn't have liked being booed for retiring. Especially when the team could never get a decent offensive line together. If the guy had just torn his ACL or something, that's one thing, but internal injuries are life threatening. I'm not saying the fans had an obligation to bow to him, but they were classless in booing him.
