I was raped and when I came out about it the police officer literally said to me "I know this boy personally, there is no way that he did that, I bet you just feel guilty for cheating on your boyfriend." It's honestly terrifying to me knowing that even officials can't believe me. He finally got charged on not just my rape but the rape of 4 OTHER GIRLS. I truly applaud you. I'm quite a bit older than you so this is the only video of yours that I have watched. I'm a psychologist and sexual assault researcher, and based on his use of calculated manipulation and the escalation of his behavior, and the significant risks he was taking to satisfy his sexual desires (such as removing any possibility of using the "I didn't know she was 13" excuse, by clearly and repeatedly instructing the victim to say her age while she carried out his sexually explicit requests), there should be no reason to doubt his behavior would eventually escalated to something even more serious such as arranging to meet a young girl in person. There is a strong likelihood that his deviant sexual behavior would have progressed even further the more confident he became in his ability to not get caught. It is also likely he was getting off on the fact that he was able to manipulate these young girls to get what he wanted. A sexual narcissist will use their position of authority or they will use argument to get what they want sexually and they will feel even more superior when it "works". This only gives them more confidence to keep going. You did a very good thing Damon, and your courage is commendable and inspiring. Shame on the grown adults who took part in covering up his deplorable criminal behavior to make a few bucks. If only more people had your level of integrity.

This whole Austin Jones situation reminds of my cousin Thomas who was raped by a girl who was a junior in college and he was only a sophomore in high school. She literally manipulated him into coming to her apartment saying that she was being abused by her boyfriend and didn't want to go home alone, and him being the kind of person he was, he went with her so he could "protect" her and "help her" call the police. She ended up giving him sleeping medicine making him think it was Tylenol because he said he had a headache and she tied him to her bed and then waited for him to wake up so he would be awake while she raped him. I was the first person he ever told about this and the fact that no one believed him and no one would do anything for him and we fought so hard but she was able to turn it around and say that she got really drunk and he attacked and raped her. I miss him so much to this day. He was sent to jail and 2 days in, he took his own life. I sincerely wish that there was more I could've done. So thank you for this Damon. Thank you for making people aware of these things.

So, Austin jones messaged me when I was 18 and asked how old I was and I said I was 18. He said “oh, you look 15” and then he asked me to send him a video of me dancing because my Twitter is filled with videos of me dancing as I am a dancer. He asked me to send him videos of me in leotards and shit and I was like um ew. And then I blocked him and now that this shit is coming out I feel like it’s okay for me to say this. But I’m glad there is someone who is able to talk about this using their large following. In my case, I was 18 so there was no way he was going to manipulate me. But I’m so scared for all of these young girls who aren’t as fortunate as I am.

Thank you for this. I went through sexual abuse as a young girl about 10 years ago. But when it happened to me, no one was there to stand up for me or to even take it seriously. And it’s taken years to come to grips with, and still affects my everyday life. Internalizing that kind of trauma can completely destroy a person. So I wanted to say that what u did made a difference for those girls. Having a person believe you and help you be heard, will put these girls in a much better place to cope. Austin Jones was sick!! Before all his shit came out I opened a local show for him when he came to my town. I was 15 at the time. I walked into the venue clearly carrying a guitar case, chords and my own gear. His first words to me were, “if you’re here for the VIP, you had to have paid extra prior to now” I was completely baffled. It was so obvious with the amount of instruments and gear I was carrying that I was playing that night. I told him I was actually opening the show and his only words were “Oh, I didnt know any girls were playing.” He was so entitled and just seemed off. The whole show he didn’t care to interact or show support to any of the other artists wether that be local (like myself) or even traveling. He only ever cared to leave his van to talk to young girls and their friends and I remember that so vividly.
