(My gas spent was $176.00 and my portion of the hotel bill $12) came to $1,236.00 at $60 a hr. I do this once a week and keep full time jobs ❤

I also wonder if it's possible in a huge city with hella traffic, car accidents & construction. Some of the delivery websites say they guarantee delivery by a certain time, which I don't think is possible in my big city during the day. They probably make the courier take the L in the case of a 7 car pile up that causes the trip to take 3 hours instead of 1. Same if they pay you by the mile & you get caught up in any kind of delay. It costs you. I'm still debating. I was thinking of investing in a sprinter, but it needs to be worth it.

Be careful and think through the insurance aspect of delivery driving using your own insurance. Example: In 2022 i was in a collision doing a Uber Eats delivery. I was not at fault. I reported to Uber Eats immediately from the ambulance. That was the Last time i heard from Ubereats. The driver that caused the accident was under insured. I had a broken ankle and was out of the delivery driver business due to 4months on the sofa and 4 months of therapy. I had insurance but gig work wasnt covered. I found out the hard way. Not only was I badly injured im still dealing with swollen ankle everyday possibly for the rest of my life. I lost my car because it was totalled and no insurance paid for another vehicle. After a lawyer who took most of the payout i ended up with chump change. Please carry the proper insurance and dont take it lightly.

It all comes down to how much effort you want to put in. You’re your boss at that point. It of people want to stay in town. Stay local. Do the easy opportunities. Yeah you are not going to make much. I average 1200-1800 a week with only Lyft. Sometimes more if I do a 7th day. 10-12 hours a day. I drive all over southern Cali. From Los Angeles to San Diego and everything in between. @@tonyd4346 if you still believe the old system works yes ....I'm not against jobs but all I know is I've met NUMEROUS people who have been working for decades just to get fired, It feels like every couple years there's s a group of soon to be retirees who get screwed and have to work another 5 to 10 or so years before actually being able to retire..... Truthfully, I know people making good money right now in my area. I feel the need to take advantage of it and build something cuz at the end of the day my faith in the system of retirement and benefits and pensions is very low. Although I will say if done correctly, you can take advantage of that system to gain a skill and eventually do your own thing. You're right about that, but it's also once again going into business for yourself.

A lease, yes. A rental, maybe. Some companies won’t give you dedicated routes with a rental because they don’t see the person as committed being that you can return that rental and walk away at any time. What is it with all of these videos about medical delivery jobs? Why don’t you people get a skill and get a full time job? You are all trying to “get rich” by working the absolute minimum work…it doesn’t work that way.

Thats a pretty "interesting" take. Lemme ask you. Old school taxi drivers...were they just trying to get rich quick? How about limousine drivers? Uber? Lyft? Ppl who deliver mail? UPS? Amazon? All of these jobs involve driving and delivering something, whether it be goods or people. So why are medical couriers just looking to "get rich quick" in your opinion? Do any of those other jobs i mentioned require "skills"?
@RodSherwood1
@RodSherwood1 11 ай бұрын
@@thechosen3332 it’s not a take, it’s a fact, the younger generation doesn’t want to work hard BUT they want to have big money. Back in the day, people drove taxis to supplement their income, now the drivers are usually immigrants to the country who have limited skills and or limited in their language skills. This does not apply to all of these people of course. Currently, I see multiple videos on social media KZfaq about driving/delivering and you can make “ a lot of money”. Your only skill is being able to drive basically and between uber grub hub etc many people have left the job market to do this type of work. You don’t have to have interactions with people like a typical job, these kids are socially retarded because most of their interactions with others is via texting, they don’t know how to have a normal face to face conversation. They don’t know how to handle when someone tells them what to do, they get offended. Trust me, Im a boss and I have to deal with these kids on a daily basis. They have the minds of a 5 year old in a 35 year old body. It’s not just the driving jobs, they are looking for any job that pays them “ millions” with the least amount of effort or responsibility. It’s called a side hustle I believe.
