That's what I'm getting from this. It's really frustrating to dig like 3 trash objects from the same hole, then move a foot and dig 3 more.

Another excellent tutorial video. A lot of detectorists have no idea what the detrimental effects of notching are. When I first started out detecting I had no idea what the effects of notching were.

It’s unfortunate but if you want the goods you got to dig the trash out of the way. Your videos are the reason I started cleaning the sites more and wouldn’t you know I’m finally hitting decent targets. I will say this. Because I’m cleaning the site after a while of pulling all trash targets, sometimes I start getting discouraged and start thinking there’s nothing good in the ground, then BOOM something good comes out and keeps me realizing I have to just keep going 😂. DIG EVERYTHING!!! that’s my opinion but it gets hard sometimes
@PaystreakSuperfreak4 ай бұрын
Good targets are site specific. Some sites have lots of deep great finds, but they are masked by shallow trash. Some sites have lots of trash that is constantly being deposited with jewelry and there is no way to dig all the trash. It is easy to get discouraged on some hunts because we do not find anything worth value. I am happy to be with friends and fortunate to be healthy. Happy hunting and good luck my friend.

Okay, that's an eye opener. I run mostly 6tone, all metal. BC on zero now. Great test.
@PaystreakSuperfreak10 ай бұрын
I like 6 tone with some tone break adjustments. We mostly use 60 tone. I hunt with several other detectorists who use the Legend...We all use single frequency and we have been killing it with gold rings and lots of jewelry. Multi frequency on land not working well for the Legend. You should perform tests on 100 random targets deeper than 4" comparing single and multi frequency. You will quickly find out that single frequency is much more stable, easier to pinpoint and much deeper than multi frequency on the Legend. We all use the LG24. The LG30 and LG28 coils are way too big for our hot soil.
@allanohlsen772910 ай бұрын
@@PaystreakSuperfreak Ill try single frequency. Thanks.

That is so cool. hey I am having problems understanding the Iron Bias on the Equinox. I always run the detectors in Factory settings. And have done fairly well. But I think it is time for me to step up my game and understanding the functions I never play around with. and Iron Bias is am not sure when or what it will do for an Equinox.. Thanks Man for keeping things real. Happy Hunting .. Peace
@PaystreakSuperfreak10 ай бұрын
If I were to ever use Multi I always had it at Iron bias FE-0 or F2-0. But I usually had it in single frequency because I am hunting on land. The Equinox does not like a fast swing speed. I think 10-15khz was the most stable and I could get the sensitivity to about 20 and still swing fast to get the jewelry and coins. I would usually have my recovery speed at 5-7. Multi frequency just has way too much unnecessary bullshit settings and more room for user error. Just go with single frequency and your tones will be crisp and clear. Try the Xterra in pitch tones...it is awesome!! Good luck Danny.
@ohdannyboyjustadiggin10 ай бұрын
@@PaystreakSuperfreak Sold the Xterra Pro did not care to much for it. The 700 is not hitting on gold that well. And I am wondering why? The 600 with the 6 inch coil hit on them much better. I am so confused..lol
@PaystreakSuperfreak10 ай бұрын
I buried several gold targets in the park and compared signals between the Legend LG24 and the Xterra 5x10. The Legend just smacked all the gold targets and the Xterra pro completely failed, I will be posting those comparison videos soon. I think the Nox likes a slow swing speed. Multi frequency on land just makes everything worse!! I think you will jive better in single frequency Nox 700. I did not really connect with the Equinox, especially after both my coils broke. I am telling you....THE LEGEND IS A GOLD GETTER!!@@ohdannyboyjustadiggin

That hammer was 6" below the the plane of the cutting board and almost 2 feet away from the test area. I do not believe the hammer could influence these tests being that far away.

Notching on the legend 1-9 should still be ok right ? Nothing at the beach is valuable in those numbers
@PaystreakSuperfreak10 ай бұрын
Tone break to 9 instead of notching. If you notch the iron tones out....you will be digging all the large iron. You dig way less iron if you can hear the rejection tones.
@Cjmm0074 ай бұрын
So why do you use multi frequency machines if you stick to single?
@PaystreakSuperfreak4 ай бұрын
Because it has lots of single frequency options. I do not buy a detector just because it has multi frequency, I decide to buy it because many factors. I use single frequency because I find more targets and easier to pinpoint.

On the legend then,it seems like you have to dig anything and everything from like 15 to almost 30? Just have to, thats all there is to it.
