I would love for faction guardians to be more along the lines of how empowerment works, sacrificing dupes to empower the whole faction so then my vault space will be freed

I recall a CC saying Plarium doesn’t want to put rare empowerment in, because it would be a trap for early players. But they could level gate it. Make it level 50 perhaps. By then a player should have a fairly decent grasp of the game. I genuinely empower every epic I can (obviously not sacrificing guardians, or champs I want in every Hydra team) because that stat boost can change a mediocre champ into a decent one. And that can make a huge difference in Doom Tower secret rooms and Sintranos.

So you give yourself a name to keep you motivated, and striving to be a little better each time. Having to sift through all the info out there. Building your own library of info that you wish already existed lol. Then finding out that's yesterday's news, and get ready for today's events! Having to build what works best instead what you like or want. Only to enjoy the game and come back for more. Lol that turned into a rant, my bad lol.

Yeah.... I don' know why people ask what other people think they "shouldn't" do. It's a good idea to have a fully empowered copy of every Epic that you own, just in case. As for which ones to do first, that is going to be determined by your RNG drop rate, and by what your account needs. Everyone's account is different.. you need to look at where your focus needs to be, and then decide on your own. Play 'your' game... don't recruit other people to play it for you.

They can instantly fix pvp with requirements. Between these lvl say 1-20 you can only use rares and allowed 1 epic. 21-40 you are allowed epics and rares with 1 legendary. 41-60 you can use anything but limited to 1 Mythical. That would never happen because you would progress early without the need to chase champs.

I'd like them to make the 50% Poison Sensitivity debuff work, since it's supposed to have been coded in the game since the lesser version was introduced.

My take on all epics and their use... 1st guardian ring. 2nd empower. 3rd books. 4th food. Exceptions... Don't empower epics that are used in multiples ie. Uugo, Shamael, Royal Guard, Geo, etc. until all are built, or you have better alternatives.

If the free gear removal was 24 hours that would be great. It’s an HOUR and that’s a joke.

I am glad someone finally said it. Because I have been of this mindset the whole time that I am just going to empower every Epic that I can because it just makes them that much stronger. And if I was ever relying on some dupe Epic as 4-star food, I have a bigger problem so that should also never be a reason to not empower either.

I still don't have all my Faction Guardian slots filled, so that's my first priority for any epic duplicates I get. When I get additional duplicates, I use them to improve my Champion's skills. I'm not a high-powered player, so I don't have rafts of Champions developed and ready to move between teams. Empowering is going to be wasted for my account--I just don't pull shards often enough for that to matter.

You guys get Epic dupes to empower your Epics?

2 I want to +4 the most are genbo and akemtum. My genbo has 6* awakening and my akemtum has a 5* awakening. I also have a 6* awakening for selenia which seems to be a really really good rare that I haven't heard anyone talk about. Especially if you combine her with another burn champ so she increase HP burn duration and the rest of her kit works off of hpburn mechanics 6* awakened as a void rare I think she might be nice for rare only content.

Ash, I agree 100%, with all of the new content areas in raid, it makes perfect since for most players who may not spend much, to empower whoever they have on their account.

I do like empowering all my Epics, but maaan, I have so many fewer chickens now for champ training. Used to be I would use the Epics I knew I already had a copy of as food (after faction guardians obviously), now I scroll down my Epics in the tavern and every one is an only copy that I might some day want to build!

I will say that I do regret slightly using my dupe Geomancers (that I hadn't done anything with) in that yeah - I'd need a new 1or 2 to build to have extra for hydra teams cause basically he's my main damage dealer - same time that +2 or 3 has taken what was already one of my best champs who could solo some stuff and made them better so hard to complain (highest ACC champ, actually has some pretty high stats in a life steal set). But generally I've found a good rule is - 1: Is it a champion you could use more than 1 of - if yes keep it, if no consider empowerment (if you rely on Geo-burn for hydra damage maybe keep a spare and don't be dumb like me) 2: Is the faction at that rank filled on faction guardians for those stats - if yes consider empowerment, if not use it there till some other dupe can take the spot (once maxed). 3: Is it a champion you use a lot - if yes go for empowerment unless it will wreck a speed tune for CB or other content, if not - it can wait till you might, take over a faction spot from someone you want to empower, or if you think it's better to save some time and energy (and space due to not having enough slots) use for food to make a legendary/mythical a rank 6, or even as a book. 4: It's a champion you don't really use - if your keeping a copy anyway, then yes save the slot if not used as a FG or if you consider it wouldn't be better making a legendary stronger faster and easier, with content like Cursed City at times limiting your choices or even some of the DT floors you may find that they could come in handy.

Hey, yes for new players the Epic Empowerment doesn't do much, until you get doubles from the top champs you've been playing for a year or more. I hope rare empowerment comes soon, that would really encourage new players and you can get into the midgame much faster. The first year of playing is all about reaching Gold V, Clan Boss NM and UNM and the 20-25 dungeons as quickly as possible. And rare +4 with a 5-6 blessing would really make a difference

I have been empowering most of my epic champs but I also have been keeping a dup. I like the thought of having a spare especially when they have new fusion champs because some of these are really hard to get especially void champs so I keep my dup in the vault so that for future fusions I can I have some just in case. I guess maybe because I’m new I never know if they might be apart of a future fusion champ

When I first began I soon realized did I need to focus on one champion at a time and I needed to make them as powerful as possible for the fastest progression and I have never stopped following that philosophy This is a completely separate issue from gear it's not about making that champions gear the most powerful it's about creating the most powerful set you can one set at a time for similar results Put it when it comes to empowerment My only exception will be when I require multiples

My answer is pretty much just empower epics every chance I get. There are very few I'd consider dupe building, so it just goes to condensing more power into one place. That not-so-subtle mention of buffing Tayrel a bit is a great idea. His 4-turn cooldown on his main ability means power creep has moved him from top-tier epic early on to just being a decrease ATK option for me. His base stats are also just a little bit lower than epics should have when you consider other DEF-based ones. As far as rare empowerment goes... That idea should be screamed into every corner Plarium looks at, until they realize just about everyone wants it. So many uses now for skillsets that rares have with their lackluster stats, and so many rares that come very close to being rather good. Nature's bounty was a huge improvement but should have included buffs instead of only debuffs, and the puny stats rares have even empowered would still so often be weaker than unempowered epics anyway. I'd like seeing that more than most features anyone has suggested.

I don't use any dups in hydra for a simple reason. The champs I have dups for and want to use I can't spare the books for. I want to use my 2 Wukongs, Pythions, Deacon Armstrongs, but there are always champs I haven't built one of that I am prioritizing. Great Oak, Demythra, Lysandra, Wixwell, Ankora, Ukko, Hephraak, Magnarr, Quintus, and Tuhanarak to name a few. It sucks to get hyped about getting someone and know it will be months before you can use it at an upgraded level.

Any epic I already have double of gets empowered whether faction is not complete or not, most epics I don't need more than 2 of. Power to the empowerment

I agree with you on empowering everyone, except it might be a little different with doom tower single champions when you have to sacrifice a totally different champ. Like Archmage Hellmut needs Gerhard the Stone to empower him.

Hey ASH how do you have a +3 Dark Kael? I thought you only get doom tower champions once.

I would add, only empower epics if you already have all your faction guardians filled up. Those bonuses help a lot too.

Totally agree, with so many new champions coming in and the current powercreep there is almost no need for epic dupes anymore Epic Faction Guardians are full, everything else gets directly into empowerment, it's at least something to close the ever bigger getting gap between Legendary and Epic champs (not even speaking of Mythicals) for F2p/Low Spender

I only like to empower Epics that I actually use in content. Being f2p, I don't just max champions just to max them, so they always have some purpose. Otherwise I'd just stack chickens until I get someone useful.

I can tell you now by doing an empowerment on several of my epics I have gotten way further in the game and most minor only powered up to two

I'm surprised people ask who they should not empower. Pretty sure it is obvious that if you can make use of building more than 1 of a champ, then build more than 1, rather than empowering the 1st built one. Aside from that, built 2-3 copies of champs and use them all? Empower them! Just keep in mind the champs you have speed tuned. I'd still empower them, but BEFORE doing so, make use of the fitting room. See if you can make that speed tuned adjustment before empowering and if you can, do so and then empower. This can possibly give DPS champs some bigger numbers. For rare champs, I'm unsure on the empowering would ever happen. Plarium already said no to that idea. Giving in will just lead to the uncommon empowerments and common empowerments. I rather see some buffs happen. Also, I would always faction guardian first. Empower comes second.

Epic champs that don't get much play are better as faction guardians than empowered; don't even upgrade their skills if they can be faction guardians. The only exception is if their faction has no other epic champ (epic faction guardians benefit only epics).

Been farming Torturehelm for a few months now through fusion, up to 4 so far.

The game continues to expand and adding content that will require champs you hardly use. I empower all I can. It’s a no brainer. I have a fully empowered Deacon, Fatman, Wuzgar, Dhukk, etc. I haven’t been playing long but I bet there are some longtime players who don’t have those. I will also say that it’s become very easy to mistake an epic as food. That champ could be the very key to complete some content.

I still havent empower any of champions yet. I do have few geo. One pure dps in unkillable cb team. Other one more survival for iron twins and other bosses.

Ash , I’m a free account that has just hit the 181 mark, I’m trying to push content but it seems a lot of my champions do the same thing , decrease defense on dam near every champ ,can you suggest a main team comp out of my champs please? Champs : Rae , Tomblord , Dhukk the Pierced, Kaiden, Giscard, Deacon, khatun, deliana, pain keeper , dark elhain. I’m getting stomped on hydra and demon lord . I three stared campaign up to valdamar stage 3.

This is why i love sintranos and am happy they drop sintranos first. Can you imagine how mad everyone would be if they dropped epic empowerment and then sintranos?

Why do you want faction guardians only vault champs? What is wrong about using main champs as faction guardians?

If this will be the case than its only logical to straight do empowerment for all even uncommons and commons

What I will say about empowering is go to your doomtower epics first like helmut before the other epics because I'd rather empower him instead of kaiden or whoever his champ equivalent is

Well this is not an Epic, but I empowered my Scyl before completing my faction guardians. and it has made a difference. With the non-empowered scyl I couldn't complete nightmare, yes I tried the cheese, but I couldn't click fast enough. With an empowered scyl and ninja, I completed nightmare. My thinking was I don't have many Barbarian legendaries. Yes I could've probably used two scyls on a team. But hey I got the sacred shard from nightmare.

Here is the problem with rare empowerment. Think about how the game is setup now with all these limitations. You can only use force, you can only use rare, you can only use hp. What’s going to happen is the challenges will just get harder because they will be scaled from the empowerment stats and not base stats. Remember back when we said this rare is not worth build guys? Well guess what.. Now it’s mandatory to build them if you want to complete X section of the game
