This was very ignorant. Obviously you’re unaware of the fake Hermes bags that cost a few thousand dollars (not the low end reps you have). I work in luxury and own real Hermes, there are many replicas that come through our doors that are completely undetectable right down to the smell. This makes it very hard for the authenticators, there’s tons of all brands of replicas that pass through authentication, unknowingly, so to say the quality or feel isn’t the same is very ignorant and that’s the type of person that gets fooled. The replicas featured here look nothing like a top tier replica.

what a good point about wear and tear of the fakes! while its a "Great price' the materials/construction are not up to quality it will not last for years, i have seen so many at thrift stores many fakes and they are terribly deteriorated and smell awful, while some parts might be real leather not all of it is - the wear on tarnish for eg. is terrible too. Just not worth it if it is going to deteriorate so quickly.

A point to consider is that when you buy the Asian replicas there is an economy that is supporting these workers to have jobs who also need to make a living. It is not a black and white thing. So thenone has to wonder if supporting the original designer companies workers is more valuable to be concerned with than the asian factories. My thought is if they make goods that are less costly, but don't brand them as "the same" perhaps there is a peaceful place in the middle?

Buying real or fake aren’t good investments. If you buy real ones and decide to resell them in the future, you have to sell only a few hundred dollars less than the original price and if you decide to buy a fake, you can never resell it or gift it because it’s not the real thing however it’s only a few hundred dollars and you would’ve lost the same amount anyways if you were to buy a real one and resell it in the future. I have 2 super fake ones and I only wear them occasionally, I feel like I should’ve invested in contemporary ones instead.

Actually Goodwill will send anything that is replica or real to it’s internet division because they sell online. They will have the bag authenticated and if it’s real they will sell it on their website. If it’s fake they will not.
