Nice to see this comment- I also feel God is calling me to create art for his glory, and daily share his goodness 😊 For a while I wondered if it’s God’s will … But I also see it as an act of obedience, to share what God has inspired me to create, as the Holy Spirit can work in someone’s heart through art and visuals, just as through words, music, or any other talent used for his glory.

God sent me here to break generational. I'm in my wilderness season and it can be stressful quiting your job and moving to a different state but I'm believing God for miracles, signs and wonders as I keep the faith. Keep me in prayer

Yes I love that, keep going. Last year I was always in a rush. School work, exercising, my looks, boys were my distractions. I was lowkey depressed, but then this year I have been learning to slow down because believers are not supposed to be in a rush and be impatient. I find myself to be more joyful and fulfilled once I simplified my life and paused throughout the day to talk with my wonderful glorious Father.

Yes, you are right. Jesus was moved by compassion and some of us fail to love as Christ loves us. You are a child of God. This world convinces us to see people as trees instead of image bearers of God. I am sorry for any hurt you may have experienced. God bless you as you live, move and have your being in Christ. You are loved, wanted and set free by God who loved you - so much so that he sent his son to die the death that none of us could die, to take away our sin and be one with the Father.

What do you mean, ‘I am gay’? Do you believe that Jesus can’t take away your same-sex attraction? Are you sure you aren’t taking pride in being different or in your own capacity for self-denial? Even if your same-sex temptation does persist after being born-again, a sinful temptation isn’t the basis for your identity. There’s no such thing as a “gay Christian”. That would be like a Christian who struggles with other kinds of sexual temptation calling themselves an “adultery Christian” or a “masturbation Christian”! I know you know that God created sex to be experienced in covenant marriage between a man and a woman. So why would you label yourself with a dead-in-sin term (‘gay’) that conveys a sinful perversion of that purpose? My own lusts, both opposite-sex and same-sex, changed after I was born-again. The latter disappeared completely, and while I still experience temptations with the former, and have grieved the Lord when I’ve succumbed to sexually sinning in my thoughts and a couple of times in my actions, I’m not “an occasional luster Christian” because my identity isn’t found in my sin nature’s desire to sin against God’s good gift of sexuality, it’s found in Christ and the new desire He’s given me to be holy like Him. Everyone is made in the image of God, but that image is badly marred by sin and no-one is a child of God until they receive Jesus as their Lord and Saviour; then via the Holy Spirit, who sanctifies you, that image can start to be restored. If you’re a new creation, why define yourself by the deceitful lusts of your old dead-in-sin self? If you have a gospel-surrendered heart you wouldn’t want to. There are no prefixes to Christian and especially none that are sins. Let Jesus go before you!

@@SavedbytheLordsgrace1 There is such thing as gay Christian. I was born gay and I chose to be Christian. I denied myself as Jesus told us to, I took my own cross and because of my condition I am celibate. What else do you expect me to do? There are spiritual struggles in every person life and mine are not worse than anybody else. There are couples (straight or gay) who lives in non-sacramental relationships or are engaged in any other type of sinful acts - they are in grave sin, not me. You are born again in Christ after your baptism and in sacrament of penance. There is no such thing as “born again” that your situation magically changes and for now on everything is easy peasy. On the contrary - everybody must overcome something. Following Jesus is an everyday decision, fighting all kind temptations and striving to be better. Implementing Jesus teaching to your life is a full time job, sometimes it is hard, exhausting at times, sometimes you fail but knowing Jesus is always with you gives you strength. I know where you coming with this “no prefixes needed” and you are correct and I agree with you, identify on solely being Christian is absolutely enough. My comment was in context of personal calling so even if I deny myself (which I did) I cannot pretend I am not gay. I am. There is no pride in it nor guilt, it is something I have no control over. I have control over my actions and mine are not perfect of course but at least I don’t have mortal sins. Being gay is a big part of my life, because if I weren’t my life would be so, so much different (but then again, I would have different struggles that God put in our life to overcome). Being gay and to deny acting upon these urges is my personal path to salvation and I am on the right path.

@@sudisnow1408 ahh you’re Catholic. How would you explain the gospel? Also, can I ask: Do you believe the Creation account in Genesis is literal history? Because this is something I wrestled with when I was Catholic. When God started drawing on my heart three years ago, I knew the Creation account was true. We’re unique from the rest of creation by being created by God in His image, and God originally created everything He made, including us, “very good” (Genesis 1:31). Sin and death entered the world when our first parents disobeyed God in Eden. Jesus won a decisive victory over both with His perfectly sin-free life, His substitutionary death on the cross and His resurrection. His perfect righteousness will be imputed to you when you cry out to Him in repentance and acknowledge your complete dependence on Him and not on your own efforts. Meditate on Ephesians 2:8-9. Trusting that what Jesus did on the cross was a finished work and that it’s THIS that gives you your righteousness, not fasting or taking sacraments or using your moral reasoning-good as all those things are, they can’t save you. You just really need to believe that the Lord and He alone can do what you can’t. Because believing that Jesus did what you can’t is the only thing that will save you. Mary and the people who’ve gone home to be with the Lord can’t save you, only Jesus can. Because He alone is God. Like you, I’m single and celibate. I understand and totally empathise with the loneliness and frustration. My situation is a bit different to yours in that me wanting a relationship with a woman wasn’t mainly about lust; it was how I thought about men and women that needed to be changed. Most of all, how I thought about God needed to change and be repented of. Evolution isn’t real and you weren’t born gay. God is good and doesn’t make sin. But the effects of Original Sin from Eden have corrupted us to such an extent that human sexuality has been perverted and we don’t always experience it in accordance with God’s purpose for it (to bond husband and wife in marriage). That’s why you’re attracted to women, but that desire isn’t your identity. To be known and loved by God is. Science has been wrong. Thalidomide, phrenology, transgender mutilations, etc. The thing is… everything outside of God’s Word is just human opinion. Human opinion tells you you’re born that way and can’t change. The Bible tells you you need to be born-again (John 3:3). Regardless of whether your same-sex temptations persist after being born-again, you do still need to be born again. You just have to understand that it’s all Christ and you can’t earn or add to your salvation in any way. Baptism is a powerful symbol of dying and rising again, being a new creation in Christ. It’s a public testimony of what God has already done in your life, when you repent and trust Jesus with the realisation that His grace alone saves you. That’s the gospel, that you’re saved by grace through faith in Christ alone. Meditate on Romans 8 ask God to let it change your heart. Stand in the gospel and on the perfect and unchanging truth of His Word and you’ll always be on the right path. God is able.
