It stems from the fact that it is easier for women to get into relationships and this means men have to be more competitive to reach the same outcome. Men who have achieved the level where they are capable of getting any relationship with whoever they wish to be with, are more likely to be unloyal due to the fact that it was very difficult to reach that position and their isn't many others who have therefore more power is held by the man. Now don't get me wrong, I do NOT condone cheating at all but I am just explaining the male perspective, the best example is you and a bunch of other men have to climb a huge wall to reach the top position meanwhile you look to the right and see women mostly (maybe not completely) being carried to the top in one way or another.
