Hey Tati, love that you're paying attention to ingredients! I work on the ingredient side of the beauty industry so it is a huge interest of mine as well. Please keep in mind that if it is an SPF product, the inactive ingredients aren't always listed in descending order of volume. Only non-SPF products generally follow that rule. Also, most peptides and botanical extracts are designed to work at 1-2% use levels so they are always going to be lower on the list than things like emulsifiers, oils, and powders. :)

Unpopular opinion in saying that I like the marketing of the brand. They're going for glamour, exclusivity, and really being proud of treating yourself to high end items. Tom Ford and Marc Jacobs market in the exact same way at much higher prices and less shade inclusivity but nobody seems to have issues with it. Totally understand the wastefulness of the packaging though, that was crazy.

I don’t wear much makeup, but during quarantine I decided to try this brand out. I will say that the foundation melts into your skin like butter and no one will ever know you have it on which I love! The mascara is great too!The post office lost my package, and the customer service they provided was awesome! And that speaks volumes to me. They sent me a new package out and a few gift codes to get more things. And the rep even followed up to ensure I was happy and that I received the new package. I think with all the makeup companies out now everyone is trying to find a way to stand out. I’m glad you did this review, it opens my eyes up to other things about makeup.

I really like Tati! I honestly do, I have leaned a lot from her. But there is a lot of misinformation in her videos about ingredients and all natural is good. I am not a chemist but as someone that has studied a lot of chemistry I can say that not all natural ingredients in high doses are good for you. Added chemicals help balance them and make them more effective sometimes. Just my opinion.

As a chemist, who works in pharmaceuticals, just because an active ingredient is listed lower on the list than other doesn't mean that it isn't effective. Take acetaminophen, for example. The actual amount of API (active pharmaceutical ingredient) is low, and the remainder is fillers, and ingredients that will allow for the API to dissolve and be absorbed, coatings, stabilizers, etc. The API is still effective, and anymore could cause serious harm or death. Some things just AREN'T meant for high doses/concentrations.

Although, what works for me is Micellar water for daily AM and PM cleansing, lubriderm body lotion for a moisturizer, and then a Cera Ve foaming cleanser for a deeper clean when I wear makeup, and then I exfoliate with coffee grounds once a week. Different things work for different people but that works for me and it's totally budget friendly 😁

I don't think Tati uses cheap skin care at all, because no one should. Drugstore skin care has lower quality ingredients that can actually do more harm than good for your skin. You never want to skimp on skin care or complexion products. This is a woman who uses $1000+ masks, so you won't find a cheap routine for SC here. Lol. Plus everyone's skin is different so even if she tested and reviewed "affordable" products they probably wouldn't work for you anyway. It's all about quality and experimentation!

Tati, I'm sorry to say that if you're now interested in the safety of ingredients, you'll have to let go YSL All Hours Foundation... Half of the ingredients are highly problematic and the fourth line in the ingredients list is alcohol denat which is the best friend of ageing, skin irritation, collagen destruction and dryness. That foundation is a bottle of poison for skin.

You’re so genuine, kind and fair. Watching the way you handle yourself as a friend, wife and woman in the spotlight and situations you end up in have really taught me how a mature adult should act and treat others. No one else in my life is like that and it’s been really helpful for me to be able to watch you. A few years ago my mom got me some profusion eye palettes. They are all metallics/shimmers and are pretty in the pan, but i hate them. They're crumbly, super sheer, and you can't build them. They fall all over the place and if you try to blend it all, it blends away except for microglitters which go everywhere. It has no use for me beyond adding to my lotion for body glow, and it's not even great for that. Of course, they were 99¢, so it's not like a huge loss. It just left a bad taste in my mouth for profusion.

I agree and actually scrolled through the comments to see if anyone picked up on the undue level negativity. I think the company was trying to extravagantly support women who are high maintenance and embrace that as a good thing. It's totally okay if a company's marketing doesn't resonate with everyone, but I didn't get why Tati was so hard on the brand for being something that she says she is. That said, it sounds like Tati is going through some changes in how she approaches makeup and her lifestyle (she mentioned the biopsy and is obviously more ingredients-focused now), so maybe this will make more sense in the context of her evolution to come?

Brand is not for me. Yes, great product - especially the blush and the lip colors - but expensive, pretentious and wasteful.

Can you please do a better job at explaining the ingredients which caused you alarm? You only said you were “nerding out” and moved on without going over the problems. And I don’t think you’re correct about the ingredients being “diluted” as the ingredients list continues. It starts with the most amount in the product to the least. I’m sure you know that but it wasn’t worded well.

Cole Crystal do you watch Jen Luvs Reviews? She is amazing when it comes to ingredients. Not sure if she’s got a vid pertaining to this brand, but I’m sure you could cross reference the ingredients with any of her vids and can get a good run down. Or just google the ingredients...if it sounds harsh, it’s likely something you don’t want sitting on your face for hours/at all. I hope that helps?

i a sure she didnt use the word "diluted" in the same way scientists do. She just meant the ingredients' concentrations in the entire solution are reduced futher down the list. Some words have been integrated into the everyday vocabulary of people despite having specific meaning in the scientific society. Even the word integrated that i just used, doesn't mean mathematical integration.

Tati has made so many other videos about these ingredients , she is obviously not going to take half an hour explaining this specific issue in a video that is not about that x

@@elliethompson9706 She shouldn't have said anything then, or linked a video of hers where she explains her personal reasoning in the description box.

Tati just want you to know that I am loving that you are so into ingredients these days. I have been on this journey for a while now. And it’s so nice to see you get on this train as well. Xo

I love the approach of this video. The message you sent is so powerful. I agree 100%, it's just waaaay too much. Like I get that's a PR decision and stuff but nobody needs to be that vain and superficial, it's for no good. I mean, at the end of the day makeup is just makeup... However glamorous, sparkly and beautiful it can be, it is still just makeup. Love, love, LOVE your videos.

If you’re really getting into researching ingredients you should watch Jenluvsreviews. She goes very in-depth about ingredients.

Tati, you should do a video where you get a chemist on to discuss some of the common ingredients in make up and explain how the ingredients are listed etc. The best way to inform your viewers is to get experts on to discuss it. Maybe even ask viewers to come up with questions too ❤️
