I'm an air force brat that got stuck in Germany. We have a similar situation here too, but C&R isn't really permitted by law, even though widely practiced. Like the guys from England said, the population density is sooo much higher with much fewer resources. That is why the Europeans do so well in fly fishing championships: fewer fish with way more pressure require totally refined presentations and techniques. And catching a wild carp on light tackle is poor mans bone fishing😎

You Brits need to look up some vids of the Pymatuning Spillway carp... It's a small spillway on a big lake in Pennsylvania. People go there to feed the carp, and there's literally so many that the ducks walk on top of them to get the bread people are feeding them...

You guys don't realize there is actually a pretty good size number of carp fisherman in the US. Especially in Texas, people travel from all over the US to fish a yearly tournament in Austin. Not all US fisherman care about bass, especially largemouth. You guys mentioned carp being an invasive species within the same video mentioning that bass were stocked in Texas... You mean just like carp were stocked in US waters back in the 1800's as a food source? Common carp aren't anything like Asian/bighead/silver carp. If you guys even bothered to watch Carl and Alex's videos, you'd see they've made videos with carp anglers from the US, giving you a perfect example of US carp fishing scene. You guys seem to almost poke fun at the UK fishing scene as if its so insane, but realize that carp are considered a sport fish in MANY other countries. Worldwide, carp fishing is bigger than bass fishing... Its not that weird.
