THE TRUTH ABOUT LA ROCHE POSAY SUNSCREENS: Anthelios Shaka Fluid, Invisible Spray, Age-Correct, Eco-Conscious Tube Hydrating Lotion, Regular Hydrating Lotion, Review.
Hi guys, in today's video I decided to create a video that will help you in finding the right La Roche Posay sunscreen for you and your skin type. They do have a lot of products with similar names and similar packagings, which makes it difficult to choose the right product sometimes. I talked about LRP Shaka Fluid, Invisible Spray, Age Correct sunscreens(both tinted and non-tinted) and Eco-Conscious Hydrating Lotion, and the "Regular" Hydrating Lotion(there is a difference you will see😆). I also gave you my general opinion on the La Roche Posay Sunscreens and my "TRUTH", what I think of their products. What's the difference between la Roche Posay Shaka and the eucerin pigment control in term of finish, texture and possibility of application in eye contour? Thank you for this informative video🙏

Thank you for your review, it really helped me. Could you please suggest some good UV protection eye cream for mature skin? Something that doesn’t burn in the eyes? It has always been my problem, very sensitive eyes and in summer I just need to protect all of my skin, because it’s very pale.

This is such a good guide to LRP sunscreens. I wonder if the dermopedriatics spray (the one for kids) is sort of the same as the invisible spray. In terms of hydration and irritation, as the one for kids doesn't have fragrance. And yes, the invisible fluid/shaka/uv mune is amazing, especially for the eyes. It doesn't migrate even after going about town and sweating. Just don't apply it directly inside the eye like my clumsy self haha

The only line of sunscreens I can apply on my eyes without the smallest reaction. I'm currently using Eucerin one (150ml gel), but La Roche Fluid on my eyes. Bought it somewhere towards the end of September. The only one left in the pharmacy. Guess, here in Serbia UVA counts only for summer. However, I started ordering their, among others, products online from Belgrade pharmacies that are waaaay better stacked with all sorts of brands, discounts all over the net offer and the delivery is free of charge. Some of them you can ask them to deliver your reservation to local pharmacies (Benu and Dr Marx mostly).That being said, greetings from Kragujevac 😊

Yes, the importance of UV protection all throughout the year is not yet widely known by people in Serbia. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Also LRP Shaka Fluid is my fave daytime eye cream as well! 😉🙌🏻

I'm looking for a sunscreen that: - is 50+ with a crazy UVA protection (++++) - is absolutely matte finish, non greasy, invisible, ultra light texture and with a dry touch - does not increase my acne, breakout or black heads - is sentive-prone skin without avobenzone/octocrylene or any hard filters that makes my skin red and more sensitive - is alcohol and parfume free - doesn't burn my eyes - is easy to find in France so I don't have to order from Corea or USA and make the product travelling for 5000km! - is not expensive (max 10-12 euros) because I use a lot of sunscreen and I don't have a lot of money... If anyone has an idea of what I should try that would be great ! PS I try the Shaka fluide and the new version "UVmune" but it's absolutely impossible for my sensitive skin... 😔

Don't we all lol, I don't think it exists or even can exist given how complicated sunscreen formulation is, some compromises are necessary when it comes to sunscreens. Like matte finish does typically mean it will be achieved with alcohol. Closest to what you are describing might be eucerin oil control spf50 50ml but idek how much it costs where you live. I adore the 200ml version but it is quite fragranced. Sensitive skin typically does best with mineral sunscreens or pediatric ones but they do usually either have some cast or are at least moderately shiny. Perhaps tinted mineral spf would be up your alley.

I also use the invisible spray, the big one but the pediatrics one, it has very similar protectoion but since it’s more gentle it doesn’t have fragance, you should try it out. Greetings from Mexico

Hello Danny😍 Please I'm confused with spray sunscreens ,larosh sun mist enough as daily sunscreen? Or it's just for re application after two hours, and is it safe to re-apply over old layers without wash my makeup?

I recommend you use the mist only for re-application, and yes you can apply it on top of makeup without washing your face. Better coverage is achived when using a cream or lotion as a base layer of sunscreen. 🙂

Oddly enough, the shaka fluid that they have in my country (Greece) has fragrance. I couldn't find a version without fragrance, although when I got the sample from my dermatologist it was fragrance free.

That's another thing that I don't like, the formulation of the same product varies from country to country. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Not sure about the sample though. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Και εγώ το ίδιο εύχομαι. Πάντως η εταιρεία μου είχε πει πριν 3 μέρες επειδή ρώτησα γιατί δεν υπάρχει και η εκδοχή χωρίς αρώματος και λένε στο shakafluid θα φέρουν από την καινούργια χρονιά... Τρέχα γυρεύε..

And a second question: where are the ingredients listed for this sunscreen. My son was saying "well, its probably on the box, dad..." which we no longer have. Thanks again!

Hmmm...kindly asking, as a physical chemist, not an organic chemist...if I look up the Material Safety Data Sheet on the chemicals listed in this product, after water and alcohol the third ingredient is Disopropyl Sebacate, and thus for example there is the MSDS cited in the next sentence. Please note that it says that if contacting the skin, then "Skin contact Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water." MSDS: labchem-wako.fujifilm.com/sds/W01W0232-3494JGHEEN.pdf

Then, the next ingredient whose MSDS is sending a little warning for skin contact is 2-Ethylhexyl salicylate: Wash skin with plenty of water. www.synerzine.com/docs/sds/W0533%20SDS%20(US-English).pdf I won't list out each ingredient that this is true for but it could cause one to wonder...my only reason for using a sunscreen is concern about skin cancer, since I happened to (alas...!) get some impressive sunburns when I was a kid. That is, if there are ingredients that themselves might contribute to skin problems, what might be a better option for a sunscreen? Perhaps for us somewhat older guys, "suck it in" in terms of appearances, and use the old fashioned white creams that hopefully don't have any ingredients that themselves might cause problems for skin cells? ( :

I've tried Anthelios Dermo-Kids Wet Gel in the regular tube and that one is shiny. Not sure if the one in the Eco-Yube has a different formulation though. 🙂

@@debrucey how utterly uneducated and trite of a response. Nobody should be putting toxic things on their skin because our skin is the largest organ in the body and everything goes from the skin directly in to our bloodstream. So no matter how great something looks on our skin, if it's toxic, it will contribute to bad health in the future!!

@@Pattymelt415 They do not allow toxic products on the market, that's why sunscreens go through rigorous safety testing. La Roche Posay are also pretty much the leading brand globally in sunscreen technology. I suggest looking up Michelle from Lab Muffin beauty science here on youtube or her blog, she is a chemistry PhD and does a lot to dispell the misinformation surrounding sunscreens and the myths that "clean" beauty movement perpetuates. Like for example our skin is not a sponge, it is a whole medical science field that tries to make stuff penetrate it so no, not everything goes to the blood (that's the main function of skin, to keep stuff out), even if some stuff that does get in it still does not mean it is harmful, it has not ever been demonsrated or proven that sunscreens have adverse health effects on humans. The controversial studies that claim that some of the ingredients are "toxic" do not operate by the general rule that it's the dose that makes the poison, they feed rats with exuberant amounts of the one single ingredient undiluted which is not in any way realistic to human use of sunscreen.
