I was just talking to my family about how older people with mobility issues is a big portion of. Raise travelers. Trying to convince them that elderly and those with limited mobility actually cruise all the time.

Elderly and those who aren't but have mobility issues is a huge population of the cruise industry. As my mother described you will see plenty of scooters or walkers or canes on these ships all the time. We hope this video was helpful to encourage your family to go on a cruise. They will have a great time! If you watch our other videos in this playlist you will see how she was able to get to the different venues, her room and also off the ship in Turks and Cacios with the scooter. Thanks for watching.

Nice video, wish you would have filmed going through the buffet on the ship.

The elevators are small and it doesn't help that those in scooters will push the elevator button and folks will jump in front and the person who hit the button have to wait again. My husband had a cane due to his mobility issue. We would block folks getting on so the scooter person could get on and wait then I would block so he could get on. I'd take the stairs and meet him.

Thanks for watching. That's such a shame that we all have to do that. If we weren't with our mom, she would have had such a tough time getting into those elevators alone. Thanks for sharing your story.

Thank you for this video. Although I have been using a scooter for a few years religiously for all activities, my first scooter cruise will be this fall. I have an accessible room reserved and I am looking forward to it. Any thoughts or suggestions?

You have an accessible room - perfect! The biggest suggestion I have is to pack your patience and give grace to other cruisers. Most cruisers are awesome and will look out for you and are helpful. Others will jump in front of you because they are not paying attention or want to get on the elevator first. I find taking a laid back approach to cruising provides the best experience. 💚
