I went and tried out some smaller suvs. I test drove several brand new ones. I wanted something a little bigger than a car cause I’m a big guy but with better gas mileage than my old 2011 Nissan Titan (11 and 13 mpg city/hwy). I got a 2022 Buick Encore GX after trying out several. It has a 1.3L 3 cylinder (exact engine as the trailblazer Scotty drove in this video). It drives amazing and has way more power than you’d expect. I do plan on buying a Toyota Tundra or Ford F-150 when I pay off this Encore GX to pull a boat but I can see why he liked this GM. It’s a nice ride. These are fairly new engines so time will tell about their longevity. I’m glad Scotty didn’t hate it. Kinda made me feel better about my purchase! Lol

@@braden2233and the trax has the smaller one. I also have the 24 trax and it performs way better then you would expect based on the specs on paper. If they are made well having a 3 banger makes sense. Cuts the cost to make the car, and you can pretty much get the same if not better gas mileage. I dont need my daily driver to be sports and go fast. It just needs to drive good. Get me from point a to point b. The smaller dont bother me. Im seeing so many people say its too small and its not safe for highway travel and its a load of bull. I remember when everything came with a v6 even most sedans. Then it was 4s and now its 3s and 4s

A lot of small GM cars (Cruze, Bolt, Malibu, Sonic, Trax, etc) are actually R&D in Korea. These cars are quite common on the roads of Seoul. In my theory, GM in the US does not want to spend its resources on developing small cars so they outsource them to their Korea division (Daewoo).

Scotty, you are my go-to mechanic. Your videos help me anytime I need information about DIY car repairs. Thank you! Also, I have a manual transmission 2000 Honda Civic with 247,000 miles. I've put about $3K in repairs and maintenance the last 2.5 years. Only major repair was changing the clutch. Just changed the water pump. Do you think the engine will last me atleast another 50,000 miles? It's my work car, I drive a total of 90 minutes everyday, highway miles.

It vibrated so hard that it had a small shock absorber from the head to the fender wall just to dampen the vibration.
