Truth sounds like hate to those who hate truth.

1,200 Israelis; 35,000 Palestinians and the mainstream media have died in this conflict.

Intelligent, well-balanced, dedicated to truth. So good to hear.

This film must be preserved and protected from erasure so history will never forget the atrocities.

Unfortunately after following this conflict over four decades I'm reluctant to put hope into a peace settlement. Knowing many more Palestinians than Israelis I tend to sympathise with the resistance of the people, just because of the unjust way this situation has developed. It is hard not to think of the settlers in the West Bank, taking land and houses by force of military weapons, violence and at times with protection by the IDF. Expanding the territory with Israeli government approval and against all UN resolutions, making a two state settlement seemingly impossible and a one state solution even less thinkable. On the other hand the Jewish people I've personally met were good people and there have been victims of violence and attacks on this side too. But even with October 7 2023 casualty numbers are very lopsided towards the Palestinians. Basically no contest when compared. It's a shame that good people on each side aren't enough in number to give any solution a chance. Unreasonable hardliners on both sides are fighting to keep the conflict alive and in my opinion October 7 and the cruelty of the response will keep the hatred burning for further decades. In 1981 at 12 years of age, I wouldn't have believed if anyone had told me this won't end in your lifetime. Today in April 2024 I don't believe I will live to see the day.

Every interview I've seen Richard Sanders give on this investigation has impressed me and this is no exception. Listening to two such articulate, measured and knowledgeable people discussing the facts about this subject is a reminder of what our media could and should be, but isn't. Thank you Peter Oborne and Middle East Eye for your vital work.

So what will we do with this menace to our humanity that the Americans and Europeans had left to fester?

It’s good to know there is still some honesty.

In 2001 in Macedonia, BBC reported that innocent people which were harvesting mountain potatoes on the border with Kosovo ere killed by Macedonian border police. And than everyone was concerned about the "poor" harvesters. In reality they were digging-out weapons to shoot at the border police. 2 years later, BBC (after all the damage that was done after their "true" reporting) has apologized about the mistake in reporting, but the damage was already done. Even before that, I had very little trust in BBC / CNN reporting, but after this it has gone into negative (-) zero (0) trust in their stories.

I have no truck with extremist Muslims and their discrimination and persecution of non Muslims. BUT looking the history of ethnic cleansing in Palestine, stealing towns, village's, farmland, settlers and herding a population into an open air prison its hardly surprising that it has caused deep hatreds. Both communities have contributed to this situation, often led into it by extremists on both sides, but the wholesale slaughter in Gaza is simply an unacceptable reaction and it makes you wonder if this is being used as an excuse to drive the Palestinians out of the region and into other countries... Israel is already saying they should go to Europe !

Finally a real journalistic work on this macabre day. This documentary should be translated or at least subtitled in French, Spanish and Arabic...

Refreshingly Objective and carefully honest.

As to the first responder question … a close Syrian friend of mine who returned to Latakia in 2015, would regularly fill me in with what was going on in Idlib, Aleppo, Damascus, nearly all she told me diametrically opposed to what info we got in the West. She sent me two videos that went viral in Syria about one of the chemical attacks in Idlib that we were told were Assad’s doing. The white helmets ( first responders) were mercenaries brought in by the west, who were acting out a scene. A wounded man covered in dust frantically being worked on by 3 white helmets. Cut - right after the cut, the wounded man is standing up, with the 3 white helmets arms over each other, having a good laugh. The video of the setting the scene for the chemical attack, people running around getting it ready, then everyone lying down in their places and then a detonation. Did we see these?🤔

This is why Israel banned Al Jazeera. They can’t risk allowing Israeli citizens to watch this film

That was difficult to watch but I did. I will watch the film although it may actually kill me. In reference the shoddy journalism, this was on purpose and by design and it is decades in the making. Did you ever read Allan Bloom's "The Closing of the American Mind?'" It's not about Israel or Palestine but my help answer some questions about the pathetic states of modern journalism.

About 1165 people died between Oct 7-9. Based on Feb 24 revised statistics provided by Israel About 790 civilians died--650 Israeli Jewish civilians, 70 foreign workers and 70 Arab & Bedouin civilians. And 375 Israeli military and security personnel. Plus an estimated 1500 Hamas fighters were killed by Israel. What no one has addressed is how many of the 790 civilians died as a result of Israel's attacks against Hamas. The fact that 1500 Hamas fighters died indicates Israel used significant force against Hamas. And some innocent civilians undoubtedly died as a result. Which is a common and unavoidable occurrence in war. At some point, Israel might release these statistics.
